My Review of Fathers and sons VW:
I went to this dealership for service after I purchased a used Passat from another dealership. The things I needed to fix could only be fixed by a dealer and fathers and sons is the local VW dealer. I made an appt. for 10 am, and at 2 pm they called my husband and told him they were just pulling it into the shop. My husband called me and I promptly called them to let them know that not having my car was a huge inconvenience and that I didn't appreciate them wasting my time. The person on the phone offered to do the oil change for 30 bucks. I thought that was a nice gesture. They ended up keeping my car overnight and said that they had about ten hours of labor to do on the car to diagnose the problem. However the next day when my husband called to see how everything was going they had no answers yet. Shortly after he called again and the person on the phone told my husband that the techs work on the car faster if you stay there with your car. Then what is the point of making an appointment? Why should I have to stand around to make sure someone does there job? I made an appt. so I wouldn't have to hold someones hand while they fixed my car. Time is of no importance to these people especially if they are not getting paid for the work, all of my problems were under factory warranty so they weren't getting paid. I would say this is a good place to go if you can afford to rent a car, and pay a huge fee for service cause god knows if they are actually working on your car while it's there.

My Review of Fathers and sons VW:
Purchased a CERTIFIED used VW Passat. After taking delivery I found MANY things that were wrong with the car. ALL the items should have been repaired BEFORE the vehicle was ever sold as CERTIFIED. The dealer refused to fix them all. They told me it was up to me to check the car over and find all the things wrong with it before making the purchase. I pointed out that VW's certified program specifically states the ONLY way you'll know the car isn't new is by the odometer. In addition, I pointed out all the items that were wrong with the car were on the 112 point checklist that they were supposed to check before selling the car as certified. Again they told me it was my problem for not inspecting the car better before purchasing.

Watch out for these guys, they only care about making the sale, after that you'll get no help from them. Please check the vehicle over COMPLETELY inside and out before purchasing from them because they WILL NOT stand behind the CERTIFIED label they place on their vehicles.
