Several months ago I was searching the Internet because I thought I might like a Passat; however, I was not in the buying market at that time. I ended up on Fitzgerald's website and was quickly contacted by A. J. Tucker in sales. We communicated via email and he answered all of my questions. After explaining that I really wasn't ready to buy yet he agreed to contact me in a few months and I agreed to call him if I was ready sooner. He checked in with me once and was very respectful when I said I still wasn't ready. I decided to go drive a Passat at the end of the year so I made arrangements to meet him then. I can not say how polite and friendly AJ Is as well as everyone I dealt with at Fitzgerald. I was so pleased with the car and the deal I was offered that I bought the car that night. AJ took his time and made sure i understood all the options on my car and how everything worked before I drove off the lot. I absolutely love my new car and this purchase was by far the best car buying experience ever!

I found Fitzgerald Auto Mall during an Internet search....best find EVER!! I made an inquiry about a vehicle and AJ responded promptly. He provided very helpful information on the vehicle and a cannot match anywhere price. I gave AJ the makes and models of two other vehicles I was interested in and on the day of my showroom visit he had all three cars waiting for me. This was my first car purchase in almost 14 years...I tend to drive them until they drop...and AJ made it very pleasurable. Not once did I feel pressured and there was never any of the "let me go talk to manager" stuff or switching out of a more expensive vehicle. AJ was very patient, knowledgeable and understanding of my apprehension in purchasing a new car. In the end I purchased the first car I inquired about with the great price. I have thoroughly enjoyed driving my new car and my buying experience with AJ. I will certainly recommend him and Fitzgerald Auto Mall to friends and family.

This salesperson went far beyond the expectations by driving the car for 4 hours to a site in western Maryland to deliver the vehicle for purchase. He was professional yet very friendly and engaging, mannerly without being overly formal, and aware and focused on providing information, service, and answering all questions while taking care of the paperwork portion of the deal quickly, accurately, and concisely. This is by far the best vehicle purchase experience that I have ever had in over 35 years of car buying.

I had a lot of work done on my old car and the people that work here seem to have a problem tightening bolts! One caused a terrible oil leak all over my engine and the other could have caused my wheel to fall off!!!! Terrible service center!

We had a wonderful car buying experience last week with the team at Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Annapolis, MD! I was there Thursday and purchased a VW GTI with sunroof/convenience package. We live over two hours away and I had worked with Justin Beam over the phone and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and professional to work with during this process. Our purchase included a trade-in of a 2007 VW Rabbit as well. I came in after a very busy day at work in College Park, and completed this purchase quickly and efficiently, thanks to the team! The car was ready and Justin was prepared for my visit. I left fully understanding the benefits and processes of our new GTI. Luis Linero handled the financial aspect (we were pre-approved by SECU and funded the balance via check). Luis was very helpful explaining the options for “loaner for life” which we will likely do, as we live on the shore.

This car is for my husband and we absolutely love it! I have told everyone about our positive experience with Fitzgerald, which was much different from the experience we had with the VW dealer in Dover, DE. Our friends also just purchased a car with Fitzgerald this week. Thanks for a great experience!

We bought a used Jetta here and it was quite the adventure.

Some of the good:
- Everyone is always extremely friendly
- Our VW sales guy seemed to really know the car well
- The service department is middle-of-the-road. They don't seem very skilled but they are eager to please. Prices here aren't as steep as others.

Some of the bad:
- We purchased a 4 year-old pre-owned Jetta that, according to our family mechanic, should not have passed MD State Inspection. We should have checked the car more thoroughly, so we are partially to blame.
- A little over a year later our car needed a $1300 engine repair - nothing was covered by the extended warranty we paid almost $3000 for.
- Don't buy the warranty. See above.
- My biggest complaint: they're impossible to reach once you leave the showroom. Our salesman was supposed to call us back twice regarding some questions we had in the showroom. He never called. The finance manager promised us two calls and we left 5 messages over 6 days. Didn't hear back until we asked for the general manager. We are still dealing with an issue and, as of today, have left a total of 9 messages which have not been returned.

Bottom line, I probably wouldn't recommend buying a car here unless the price is insanely low and you have a high tolerance for annoyances like unreturned phone calls and having to convince the service tech that the horrible noise coming from the engine is not "normal".

Went to the dealer to look at a new SportWagen TDI. Ended up not buying due to low trade in offered. 10% of original price for a 8year old car with average mileage? That thing aside, by the time I get home I noticed they messed up the luggage cover. CAll them and they swore they have not touched it. HArd to swallow that explanation. Disappointing experience.

This was my second new vehicle purchase from this dealership. Both experiences were excellent. Sales personnel are knowledgeable about the vehicles and the dealer's inventory. The 'no-haggle' approach is really a plus as well because you know what you are getting into and don't have to play the 'let me get my manager' and 'what would it take to get you into this vehicle today' games. Unlike places like Carmax - the sales staff here doesn't feel like an army of clones (with matching shirts).

Tom Asher was a pleasure to deal with. Not only was he clearly knowledgeable about VW's generally, but, in particular, with the car I was interested in purchasing. He was clearly more concerned that I left the dealership with the car I wanted, rather than the one he wanted to sell me. I would recommend this dealership, and Tom in particular, to anyone!
