My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
I took my car for an error message that read air suspension inactive brake and abs lights were also on after diagnosis they said it was the air compressor, $1100 later and 24 hours after I picked up my vehicle the same error message appeared again! I took it back now they stated it was a different error and required a different part, although the car was tested after the initial repair. So after another $400, the same day actually 2 hours later the car started overheating! The radiator hose had become loose and spilled the antifreeze out! They also wanted an additional $300 to repair it even though they were the only ones who worked on it and possible caused the issue to begin with. I the become untrust worthy of the dealer ship and took it to another dealership who said that it was only the clap which was about $5 and it needed to be put back on. The service manager was uncooperative and didn’t show any sympathy for the situation even though I had just spent $1500 with them in the past week, he instead offered only a discounted price of the repair and would not take any responsibility for the part becoming undone. Oh yeah they also charged me for the rental and lost my key!

My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
I own both a Porsche and a Range Rover, so I've had dealings regarding both cars. Let me first state that my balcony literally faces this dealership accross the street from me on Woodward. What I can say is now, when I need service done on either car, I'll actually go wayyy out of my way to either Land Rover in Farmington Hills or the Porsche dealer just down the street from them. Among my complaints:

1. They never return voice mail messages.

2. They never call you when they are supposed to. If they say "I'll call you at 4 to let you know whether or not your car will be ready" then you can pretty much say its 50-50 that you'll even get a call back that day!

3. Even when you leave a message for a manager to complain, its hard to get a call back.

4. They are way overpriced. I called their Parts Dept. and asked how much a key for my Range Rover costs. The guy quoted me about $345. When I said "oh really, the parts dept. at Land Rover Farm Hills has it for about a hundred less!" his response was "okay fine I'll match that"....I mean...wtf!?

All in all, just bad service...I'm talking mostly in their parts and Service dept. I really hate driving out of my way so far, but its basically a case where for the life of me I can't justify giving these people a chance to even change my oil.

They're pretty friendly though...they just don't have a clue to what they're doing.

My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
This service manager is so clueless and so apathetic towards my comments about the bad job of doing the maintenance on my 2006 audi a8L. I am very angry at paying so much when they missed my poor alignment in the rear wheels leading to wearing out of my back 2 tires after 20,000 miles and state that i need to pay more to get it aligned. I told them very harshly that its their fault that they overlooked checking the alignment when I payed 900 dollars for my 85k mile servicing and that I should not be paying for this alignment. Overall, Fred Lavery servicing is by far pathetic and is outclassed by many year from cross town rivals such as Erhard BMW and Meade Lexus. I love my Audi and will get it serviced in Ann Arbor or Rochester Audi.

My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
I had continual repair problems for my new car for the past two years. the car was for service every two months. Before the warranty has expired i brought the car there to checked maybe was something wrong so i could stay sometime with no headache. That time i paid for that service and they did not notice any problem. After one month , my warranty had expired and they charged me $1500 for oil leak (they included the warranty 1 year for this problem ).After two days my car started to leak again for the same reason and they refused to fixed because they wanted $2000 more.So i ended up paying $1500 for nothing, for a problem that they never fixed.

My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
I had continual repair problems with land rover over a period of one and half years. I bought the car new and always serviced at the dealer. F.L. was going through many service and repair personal, each time the car was brought in I was charged hundreds of dollars and the same problems persisted with different explanations. I was eventuality told i needed a valve job on a car with 35000 miles on it , a few months after that they told me i must replace engine at a cost of $15,000. My feeling was that Fred Lavery never found the true problem . At this point I contacted the Land Rover co after many months of reviews and phone calls I was told that my car was now out of warranty (40,000) when they determined i needed a new engine so I would have to take legal action, and they were not responsible. I have all of my receipts and complaint records I feel that Fred Lavery was less then honest and Land Rover was decieved and does not stand behind their products if they can get away with it. The car has been in storage and the latest
mechanic feels it was a faulity oil pump all along.

My Review of Fred Lavery Company:
I only recommend this dealership because the other Audi dealerships in the Detroit area are so poor. When I take my Audi in for service here, it always takes longer than the techs quote, but they do give you a compact rental to drive if you're stuck without a car. <br>The staff is generally friendly.
