My Review of GLOBAL AUTO MALL:
I bought a new Hyundai Azera here several months ago. I was referred to this dealer through COSTCO, but contrary to the COSTCO instructions, they handled me as a traditional 'up" for the saleperson, and I had to insist on seeing the COSTCO price and the manufacturer's invoice during negotiations. I got a very good price, but I had to really work for it. When it came down to a $2000 difference, they shopped my trade (a clean Saturn with a lot of features) to other dealers and gave me a very good trade in price. I suspect that they arranged for the Saturn dealer a block away to take it instead of going though a wholesaler. I shopped at Towne Hyundai first, and saved almost $10,000. See my review of Towne for details.
This dealer is owned by a lawyer, and has at least twice the paperwork I have experienced at any other dealer. It took two hours after I agreed to buy the car to leave the dealer.
Global is a high volume "system sale" dealer, where they use high pressure tactics to try to extract every penny they can from you at every stage in the process, so I would not recommend them to anyone who was not thoroughly prepared.
They have a very ugly plastic dealer badge--be sure to tell them not to put it on your car!
They put inordinate and I thought inappropriate pressure on me to rate them highly when I was surveyed by Hyundai. The sales manager, the salesman, and a woman who called on the phone after the sale all described the survey and asked me to give them the highest rating in every category, and to call them if there was any reason I thought I could not do that.
