My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
Service dept gave me runaround after I bought an 06 town & Country And the power window on the driver side started to give me trouble within 30 days. I took it in for service, they said they lubed the track but when I got it back it was the same. the service advisor said he had to talk to the used car service manager, but he wasn't in. Icalled back two days later and asked the operator to connect me to the used car service manager and I was told there was only a service manager and he was not in of course! I called the service advisor back and he told me he talked to the manager and he was going to call me. Still waiting. Big suprise!

My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
I was looking to buy a car before I moved to New York. I needed something with 4WD as I was moving into the Adirondack region where it snows a lot and had found the Jeep Compass to be something worth looking at. I found one at Gary Barbera's and inquired about it via their website. I got a reply email back rather quickly. The email was horribly written, with poor grammar, spelling mistakes, etc. I was not terribly confident in them. Later, I got another email stating that the dealership had several Compasses in stock and on sale for $10,990 for two days only. I figured that was too great a deal to not look into it, so I went. I was kept in the showroom forever, bouncing from employee to employee, and was told that the price I had been quoted online must have been a mistake. I figured, at least let me look at the car and see what kind of deal could be negotiated. After some more run-around and wasted time in the showroom, an employee went to bring the car I had inquired about to the front for me to test drive. Only, they didn't bring the one I had requested and instead brought around a Jeep Liberty. Frustrated beyond belief, I decided to go ahead and test drive it anyway, to see if I liked it. I did not and when I got back the showroom I had no desire to stay and wait however many years it would take them to bring around the car I had wanted to see in the first place, so I decided to leave. At which point, the entire staff it seemed converged on me, asking me questions, trying to push different cars on me. They literally chased me out the door, across the street to my dad's car and knocked on the window, trying to get us to come back inside. It was one of the most ridiculous shopping experiences of my life. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't waste your time. I spent about three hours of my life that I will never get back.

My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
Hold on to your hats you will love this one. I got stuck in a friends jeep when it broke down. We had it towed over a hundred mile to these guys. The tow truck driver couldn't get into the area to drop off the car and they couldn't/wouldn't help. Another tow truck driver informed me that other drivers also hate bringing cars there for the same reason.
We have him drop the car off in the Cater's lot accross the street. Here's the fun part. The sales men (the same guys who didn't help, but kept asking if we wanted to trade in this 2.5 year jeep in from the time we got out of the tow truck) came across the street to tell us even though it was not there property or business at that point. That we could not leave the car there.
It appears it's ok for them to park thier lot cars there. But unless we were going to buy or trade in that one they were not going to do a thing for us.
The one sales man a younger than I African american guy. Then threatens to call the police. And tell them that my friends car is parked illegally. When I inforned him that we were talking to the cater about the problem, and reminded him that it wasn't his lot or concern. He fessed up and acknowledged that they had an agreement to use part of the lot for whatever. And if this disabled car as there someone would assume it was one of the dealerships. We had the car towed to another independant shop. But after wasting hours of time, feeling threatened and basically being treated like dirt. NEVER EVER USE THESE GUYS.

My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
I called them about an explorer that they assured me they had. I get there and it was sold...awhile ago. Yeah same old trick. They offer me another explorer so I say ok. They spend hours getting the paperwork together and when the money man starts breaking down the cost and my monthly payments. I inform him that I am paying cash. But he had an attitude before we even got to that point.
2 years later I've replaced the fuel pump, stereo, brake booster 2 sets of brakes all around. front right tie rod all the shocks, air conditioning unit, and the transmission. And no I didn't abuse the truck. I take care of my equipment. Guess they didnt inspect the car as well as they should have.
In 2 years of ownership it cost me more to replace the parts and labor than it did to purchase.
I went in to get service done wth a fried later. Read that terrible experience if you like. They hover like wolves at a kill and I would not buy or recomend them to anyone. EVER!

My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
My husband heard a banging noise coming from under the hood of our truck and took it to Gary Barbera. While there they informed him that the truck needed to be inspected and also needed front brakes. They said the noise he was hearing was not that bad, normal and had the balls to tell him there were too many miles on our truck. Mind you there is 64000 miles but we're covered to 70000. I drove the truck the next day and heard the noise and promptly proceeded to the dealership. Their "tech" at the front desk diagnosed my problem with ease and asked if I could return on Monday. I dropped off my 2003 Dodge 1500 at approximately 8:00 and by 12:30 they called. Not to say it was fixed but to tell me they couldn't find the problem. I told them I needed an AC compressor and that the diagnosis was already made. When asked who told me that, they said he was off. I told then I wasn't picking up the vehicle until the spoke to their "tech". So, on Tuesday, the same thing. Wednesday, the same thing again. When I finally relinqueshed and picked up the truck, the actual mechanic assured me that I still had time on my extended warranty and I could always bring it back. What a waste of three days. I had a neighborhood garage look at it and guess what they told me.....I need an AC compressor. I'm going back again.

My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
Service is the most incompetent in my experience as a car owner for over 15 years. Transmission problems are overlooked. When I took my car in for obvious thumping sounds everytime I pulled the sterring wheel either far right or left - after a road test they claimed I was not correct.

After billing me another $40 to only then discover the problem, they wanted to charge me $400 to fix it!

This is the icing on the cake of a 3 year service experience with these jokers. Never going back and I certainly do not wish neither recommend this level of service/experience to any prospective buyer.
