My Review of Gary Barbera's Chryslerland:
I was looking to buy a car before I moved to New York. I needed something with 4WD as I was moving into the Adirondack region where it snows a lot and had found the Jeep Compass to be something worth looking at. I found one at Gary Barbera's and inquired about it via their website. I got a reply email back rather quickly. The email was horribly written, with poor grammar, spelling mistakes, etc. I was not terribly confident in them. Later, I got another email stating that the dealership had several Compasses in stock and on sale for $10,990 for two days only. I figured that was too great a deal to not look into it, so I went. I was kept in the showroom forever, bouncing from employee to employee, and was told that the price I had been quoted online must have been a mistake. I figured, at least let me look at the car and see what kind of deal could be negotiated. After some more run-around and wasted time in the showroom, an employee went to bring the car I had inquired about to the front for me to test drive. Only, they didn't bring the one I had requested and instead brought around a Jeep Liberty. Frustrated beyond belief, I decided to go ahead and test drive it anyway, to see if I liked it. I did not and when I got back the showroom I had no desire to stay and wait however many years it would take them to bring around the car I had wanted to see in the first place, so I decided to leave. At which point, the entire staff it seemed converged on me, asking me questions, trying to push different cars on me. They literally chased me out the door, across the street to my dad's car and knocked on the window, trying to get us to come back inside. It was one of the most ridiculous shopping experiences of my life. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't waste your time. I spent about three hours of my life that I will never get back.
