My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
I can not say enough good things about my car buying experience at Gates Hyundia of
Richmond. I first contacted them on line and got an immediate response from Dennis Ford. That was the first gold star they received, as far as I was concerned. As a single woman it was so nice not to be blown off. I contacted other dealers and received little or no responses to phone calls or e-mails. As our conversations continued on line and by phone, all my questions were answered and Dennis didn't seem to be in a hurry or in anyway treat me other than a valued customer. What a pleasue that was.
When I finally went to visit the showroom and acutally look at the new 2013 Sonata that I was interestsed in acquiring, I was met in the parking lot by a friendly gentleman,who directed me to another friendly person, Dennis Ford.
The whole process of turning my trade-in and processing my new car was handled efficiently and pleasantly. Best of all NO surprises,What I was quoted was the deal, or should I say THE REAL DEAL.
Thanks goes to all who worked to get me out and to my appointment back in Louisville.

We were thrilled with every aspect of our sales experience, so much so that we did two car deals in 7 days. The staff waa excellent before, during, and after the sale. We will definitely be back, and send anyone we can there as well!

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
I really enjoyed dealing with the people at this dealership. They were very patient from start to finish. Dennis never got tired of letting us try different cars until my wife found exactly what she wanted. This is when he really impressed me, he didn't push us to buy or make us feel uncomfortable like most sales guys do. He just laid back and let us decide. Then he worked hard to get us a fair deal on the car we wanted. I can't say anything negative about my experience at this location at all. I would recommend to friends or family anytime.

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
Mike was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I stopped in to check out our options knowing we had a sizable repair bill on our Honda minivan that we had to make a decision on. I started with letting Mike know that we had recently filed a personal bankruptcy and did not want to waste his time if financing was not going to be an option. This did not discourage him in the least as he began structuring an experience for my wife and I that was respectful, enjoyable and absolutely without pressure. His first and foremost concern was that we chose a vehicle that would fit all of our needs. It has been my experience that a lot of sales people (not professionals) would have pushed us and been aggressive in trying to "close the deal" especially after about 4 hours or more. Mike did neither. What he did do however was, answer all of our questions in a manner that assured us he was listening and understood our concerns and positions and was never condescending. Overall it was a very good experience and I would send any friend of mine that was in the market for a car to see Mike. Last but not least we are both thrilled with our new 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The fuel savings alone will more than pay the monthly payment and I love the hands free Bluetooth cell phone linking feature!

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
Everyone I met at Gates Hyundai was friendly and helpful. I'm very glad I chose to go to them for my first car purchase -- a 2011 Sonata Limited. Dennis was quick to respond to my initial emails as I was still doing my research. Then, I had a few phone conversations with Drew, came in late in the day, and closed the deal right before they locked the doors. Jamie took over afterwards, and was great at explaining the financing and warranty details.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase, as well as my entire buying experience at Gates Hyundai.

Brian, I wanted to thank you and Becky for the pleasant experience we had. You worked with me over the phone and e-mail to make sure my 4 1/2 hour drive was not a waste of time. I felt comfortable dealing with you and your company from the start. We also had other sales people stop and take the time to talk to us and make us feel welcomed. As you might guess from my signature line, I’ve done this a few times! I’ve not only purchased more than 20 personal vehicles but have purchased hundreds of vehicles from “standard” to police cars and work trucks to custom $1M fire trucks over the last 30+ years.

Unfortunately I had difficulties with the local Indiana dealer in my area and refuse to work in these situations. It was well worth the long trip to your dealership! Please pass my appreciation on.

Dennis Ford was very personable and thorough during our visit.I was totally satisfied with our purchase.We were in and out of there in the minimum amount of time which was definately a plus.Everything we inquired about was answered.I pretty much told dennis what it was I wanted and he went to work and got us the deal we offered plus a little extra.I mentioned the only thing I would of liked was a Sonata with wheels instead of hubcaps and he came back in a matter of a very few minutes with the new deal.Left with exactly what i went to the dealership wanting.Seriously one of the best car buying experiences I've had.

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
If you are in the market for either a new or pre-owned vehicle, then Gates Hyundai of Richmond is your dealership and Dennis Ford is your salesperson! The staff at Gates Hyundai was very friendly and helpful, but Dennis stood out above them all. I did the majority of my negotiations via telephone and email, and Dennis made the entire process very easy and answered all of my emails very quickly. Before I arrived at the dealership, Dennis did almost all of the haggling with the sales manager and got me a great deal and top dollar for my trade-in. He never pressured me and was very patient with me, which was much appreciated since I must have changed my mind a dozen times on which vehicle to purchase. When I finally arrived at the dealership, the transaction went very smoothly and in no time at all I was driving home in my beautiful 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Although it will be awhile before I need another vehicle, I will certainly recommend Gates Hyundai of Richmond, especially Dennis Ford, to all of my family and friends!

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
I puchased a used 2008 Sonata Hyundai from Dennis Ford on 4/12/2012. Dennis was a salesman I was comfortable working with. He created no pressure on me to buy as he understood what I was looking for and the dollar value of the car I felt was affordable. Dennis had the vehicle prepped for me, and ready to drive away upon my arrival Thursday pm. The car was immaculate and detailed to my standards. I would recommend anyone to work with Dennis whether buying new or used.

I also worked briefly with Mike Wallace who explained the licensing/plate policy in Kentucky. He answered all of my questions and thanked me for being a Gates customer. The new dealership there is spacious, well decorated and functionable. I appreciated working with this dealership out away from the traffic where there is plenty of space to inspect the cars and test drive. I will retire in 3 years and will return there to buy Hyundai's luxury auto, the Equus.

My Review of Gates Hyundai of Richmond:
Love this dealership group! I have bought two Toyotas from their sister store and now a New Sonata. I have to pass other dealerships closer to me and drive an additional 20 miles. The buying experience is worth it. As in the pass I'm sure the service experience will be just as great. Yes I drive out of my way for the service too. I know I get a fair price there too. I just met Drew and Mike and they were great. My father bought his first new car at the age of 80, and they treated him like he was the king! I'll return after my 10 year old sequoia with 183000 miles wears out. Could be another 5 years!
