My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
Mr. Hall was very helpful in showing the attributes of the vehicle, demonstrating the driving characterics, answering questions and in every way making us very comfortable.
At no time did we feel undue pressure, but simply a genuine desire to help us reach a decision regarding vehicle type and price point.
The dealership was very well appointed and all other employees were exceptionally friendly and accomodating.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
The most friendly dealership I have done business with. I am 76 years old and retired giving me time to purchase a lot of vehicles from coast to coast. All my questions were answered and my wife and I were made to feel comfortable. The deal was completed with no problems and was able to drive the rave4 home the same day. The first service visit was completed with no questions left unanswered.
My older toyota was taken in for service and completed when promised.

One of the best experiences buying a vehicle I've had was at Gene Reed! I would defiantly recommend Gene Reed to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle & would defiantly recommend Edgar cause he was an awesome salesman! It was a difficult purchase in my mind but the staff at Gene Reed made it a simple pleasant experience. Not sure I would shop anywhere else in the future!!! :)

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
Just an overall terrible experience which ended when we were called and asked to return the car after the finance man said everything was fine. We asked for the car not to be driven down and that was ignored. I have bought at least two cars with this company before, but I have never experienced deception and just a downright lack of respect from such a group of people. I have a Camry now that has a sevice agreement on it, but I really don't want to bring it in! If I could get a refund of my money on that just so I wouldn't have to step foot in that place, I couldn't say yes fast enough.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
Purchasing a new vehicle from Gene Reed Toyota was the best experience I have ever had at a dealership. Ron Hannon, Patrick, and Mr. Patel were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. The purchase of my new vehicle wasn't the easiest deal to work but Mr. Patel and Mr. Hannon worked on it to make sure that I left there in the vehicle that I wanted. I am thankful that I got to work with such pleasant people. In my opinion gene reed toyota is the best place in Charleston to purchase a new vehicle.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
The sales and service staff is by far the best I have experienced in the Charleston area. The sales staff accomplished in two hours what other dealerships couldn’t do in a week. This was the most pleasurable non time consuming trade I ever experienced. All the people from sales, finance and service were outstanding. I have purchased my other vehicles from another local dealer since the late nineties and the only regret I have is not finding this dealership first. Please keep up the great customer service and I will be coming back for all my vehicle needs.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
I am retired, 68 years old and living on a fixed income.I purchased a toyota for several reasons[reliability being foremost] and selected gene reed because of past positive experiences.. I came up with a problem with my Rav 4 several thousand miles after my 36000 mile warranty but David and service manger Robby cortis worked with me and resolved the problem to my satisfaction. It re affirmed my confidence in toyota and Gene reed. we have three generations currently driving Toyota's and we all have been most satisfied with performance and service.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
I must admit that buying a new car from Gene Reed Toyota was a pretty good experience. John Cole was easy to work with and the support staff did a decent job. I found that Gene Reed doesn't employ as many sales tactics as most dealers. Sure they work the dealer invoice angle and try to pretend you're getting such a good deal but it wasn't as painful as most dealerships. Plus they have to make some money. The only negative experience was with the whole paint and interior protection spray. I didn't think that stuff still went on in 2009. I guess some tactics are making a comeback. Overall, they do a pretty good job at Gene Reed. I am happy with my experience and would recommend them to other potential buyers.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
I evaluated the cost of a major service of our Lexus at several sources, and Gene Reed Toyota seemed to be among the lowest. When I called to get information, I was put in touch with David Pugh, who returned calls within a few minutes, answered detailed questions about the service, arranged the scheduling (including a loaner), and was in touch with us during the day when the need for additional service was identified. The work was completed on time and, at least now, late in the day the service was completed, seems to have been handled well. I certainly will consider having future work done by contacting David.

My Review of Gene Reed Toyota:
Back in 2005, we had an absolutely horrific experience at Gene Reed Toyota. So much so that we had not ventured returning there since. We purchased several vehicles form West Ashley Toyota, but they had a complete staff turnover and had become so bad that we stopped going there too. Last weekend, we stopped into the dreaded Gene Reed, as we were looking to trade our Suzuki Grand Vitara for a second truck. We were approached by David Reed, who heard all about our previous experience at Gene Reed. He introduced us to his Sales manager, Richard Sommers. What a great guy! He worked really hard to make right the awful experience we had had previously.He pulled out the "kid gloves" and treated us with much respect and dignity and addressed all of our concerns very promptly. We ended up with a great 2007 Tacoma PreRunner that we are very pleased with ans it took us longer to decide which vehicle we were going to purchased than it took to process the deal. It is safe to say that our next vehicle purchase will be at Gene Reed Toyota--as long as our team is there to take care of us!
