My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
I shopped for a CPO volvo here and you know, I have heard of low key sales people, but these sales people didn't seem to care too much that I was ready to buy and eager to find a car there. They are the dealership closest to my home and I had to go else where. Their selection was minimal, maybe that was the reason for the lack of enthusiasm. I don't know.

My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
This is the worst possible service station in the world, they charge over $120 to tighten the oil cap when my girlfriend noticed that the car was leaking oil [and the oil was changed at a different Volvo dealership]. They called this a "diagnostic" charge and then admitted that all they did was tighten the cap. It turns out that this leak was part of a much bigger problem that lead to over $1000 of service, all that could have been prevented if they just did their job. The service people are imbosils that steal money and have absolutely no idea of what they are doing, they hire kids of the street an tell them just to fix what the car's computer says - just take your car to a any Autobody shop and they will do this diagnostic for FREE.

This dealership is the reason why American cars should never be bought, this is the worst mistake we ever made and will never repeat.

My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
"Welcome to Georgetown"
I purchased my C70 through an outside auction. Having no relationship with a Volvo dealership, I contacted the Service Director via email, indicated that I purchased a Volvo, have no relationship with a Volvo dealership and would like to stop in to meet with him and the service team. Response: "Welcome, stop by anytime you are ready".

From the moment that I walked in to Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown, I felt welcomed. I stopped in for service and service I received>

The service advisor suggested a diagnostic test, explained every detail of what needed to be corrected or replaced, even asked if I could return the car to the place of purchase. Major parts needed servicing and could get costly. I accepted the advise, but requested that the service team proceed.

This darling little girl (C70) kept her home at Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown for approximately 3 weeks and the service advisor kept me abreast of all performance status every step of the way. The service team took care of her nicely. The car sounded like a roaring lion and after the treatment and care she received from the service team, she (the car)came home purring like a kitten. Even the parts and service warranty administrator provided service.

I can't say enough about this team and my little girl (Miss C70) is showing her behind off, detailed from head to tow.

.........and I was welcomed to Georgetown! What a Phenomenal Team!!!

My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
I brought my 2001 S40 in for the 60,000 service. All was working fine, no complaints at all! I picked the car up the next day after service hours and the check engine light was on and the onboard computer stated that I was getting 9 miles per gallon at 40 mph in a 4 cylinder. It wasn't running right, but I made it home and called the advisor in the morning. He said to bring it in around 1pm...
On the way back to the dealership (less than 7 miles from home) it started to smoke lightly, my fiance pulled to the side of the road, the car was smoking more heavily now, he popped the hood and the entire engine compartment was engulfed in flames. He called the Service Advisor for assistance and to voice frustration about the problem, and the advisor told us he didn't understand why we would think the fire had anything to do with the service.
Long story short... the vehicle was a total loss, my insurance carrier hired a third party investigator to find the cause. It turns out that one of the ground wires was actually crimped under the valve cover causing a short.
Accidents happen, I can deal with that. The dealership totally discounted even the possibility that their service department could have caused the problem.... And the service advisor had the total audacity to call us two days later to see if we were satisfied with the service.
The general service manager, the general manager, and everyone I spoke with would not even consider the possibility they were involved.
Volvo NorthAmerica was great, and even helped us into a new car.
DO NOT VISIT THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT UNLESS YOU BRING A FIRE EXTINGUISHER!

My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
Brought in my S60 for electrical problems dealing with the radio and steering wheel control buttons. Drove car straight home from dealer after their service dept. corrected problem. At home the car's alarm went off and found car had no electrical power at all. Car had to be towed back to Georgetown where they told me the battery had an &quot;internal short&quot; and since I was 13 days past warranty I responsible for 50% of cost of new battery. I am convinced the techincan who service car was the cause of the short. Was told flat out by Wayne Johnson they were not responsible for the new battery and if I did not like that I could take by business elsewhere. I tried to talk to owner about my complaint and he would not even take my call. <br>STAY AWAY FROM GEORGETOWN VOLVO. THEY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My Review of Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown:
I brought my car in because it was losing power. I was told it was a bad fuel pump among other things. I went to pick the car up when they told me it was done and it wouldn't start. I gave them the keys back and it took them over a month to figure out the problem, which they said was a second fuel pump. When I went to pick up the car the ABS, the dashboard lights, the speedometer, the tachometer, the temperature gauge and the radio all didn't work. The ABS light and the Check Engine light were illuminated. I pointed this out to the service advisor and he said they were false indicators due to the work that was done. This was BS because I tested the ABS on a patch of ice driving home and it didn't work. I placed two calls to the service manager who didn't return my calls. It wasn't until I sent an e-mail to Volvo of North America that they started to pay attention.
