My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
After they tried quoting me 4 different prices when I kept saying no, they told me about the car I wanted however it was locked up in their storage lot for the night and I could see it in the morning or the next day. The told me I'd have to leave a deposit on the car and they would take it off the inventory at least until I saw it and if I didn't like it'd get the deposit back. Moronicly, I agreed and left 100 dollars on my credit card. After finding another dealership thenext morning with the car I wanted, and for a lower price, I tried getting my deposit back from Giuffre only to get the run around at every attempt. Come by tonigt... I get there and they say they can't do it that night and I have to call in on Friday to get the charge refursed, I call Firday and they say have to come in...

Stay away from this place...

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
Went there to purchase a car. Arrived 11AM in the morning. Sat and spoke with us for for 2 hours straight. Asked to have them match Manfredi's quote or we were leaving. They agreed to same price. We say 3 times "does it include tax and titles?" both scam artists say yes. We say, no hidden prices? they both say nothing hidden. We wanted to trade in our car, they say 500-1000 for trade in but bring it in for the "adjuster" to look at it. We bring it in at 2:30 that same day. The "appraiser" is none other than the salesperson Jonathan! What 500-1000 for trade in! He says $300 is the best he can do. He makes us sit and wait now to finish the deal till 4:15PM! This is an entire day wasted! Jonathan the sales guy takes us downstairs to finish up, and the guy down there first comments to us was "no one told me that you were coming back today, it was suppose to be tomorrow". And what does this have to do with anything?? He tries to convince us to buy extra stuff we say no. We say we will be back with the amount paid in full that we agreed upon upstairs. We are literally handing over the title to the old car, and he tell us the price. It's $3,000 more than what we agreed upon! He calls joe the manager and jonathan, and both admit they agreed it was a done deal upstairs. Then joe the manager starts changing his story and says he never said anything about the agreed price and we say, so if you are admitting to our faces that you agreed on a price then you have to take the loss of your mistake and give it to us for the price agreed upon. he says "i'm not eating the difference!!!". We start yelling and screaming and we leave. Mind you, they added on $1,200 for absolutely no reason whatsoever that was part of the $3,000 above quote agreed price.

Avoid them like the plague, they are scam artists and should not be doing business!!!

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
I came to the dealership and asked them about the availability of the car I wanted to buy.
"Sure", Stephanie the sales manager said "We have one".
I asked to test drive it. "Well, we got it in the other location but lets work out the numbers and you will try it later." she said. "OK", I said, "Lets do that". Pretty quickly we have come to an agreement. "I will call you in 2-3 days", said Nick the salesman, "with VIN to insure the car and after that you can have it". "Excellent, it was simple and quick", I thought.
Five days went by. No call. I called Giuffre, ask for Nick. "O, yes", he goes, "I'll have it in two days". "Not a problem", I thought. After a few days I called again. Now I speak with Stephanie. "I got your car. I will call you with VIN tomorrow", she said.
After a few days I called again. I said to Stephanie, "You have a week to come up with a car or I'm canceling that deal". I e-mailed them as well to make sure they understand.
In a few days I called again. This time Stephanie and Nick were busy and could not talk. I left a message. Nobody called back. What a nice way to treat the customers. I sent another e-mail warning that I'm going to cancel the deal if I would not hear from them. No answer. In a few days I canceled the deal, sent the e-mail and requested my deposit back. Obviously I did not hear from them. I canceled the charge with my credit card.
It is hard to explain. It is either total incompetence, pure stupidity or combination. They wasted my time and their own time instead of telling the truth.

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
Giuffere Mazda is the worst dealership that I have ever dealt with. I purchase a used car in April of 2007 and had to get it serviced twice already. The first time I had it serviced it took approx 8 hours to repair all the problems that was unknown to me. At that time they were suppose to order a part to the car that was own to me when i purchased the car and to my surprise it is June 30 and the part has not been ordered. Customer service is a joke. They never return phone calls and it seem that nobody knows what is going on. The engine light was a problem the first and now here we are again. Giuffere Mazda also believe that the bait and switch is legal some how. The original car that i went out there to get somehow was sold by the time I got there and nobody from sales call to say that the car had been sold and I drove 1 hour and 1/2 to find out that the car was sold on Friday and picked up on Saturday. I would never deal with them ever again and plan to trade in my car as we speak . I will also contact the BBB and find out about NYC auto used car lemon law. I would not recommend this dealership

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
They sold my mother the car instead of me... with out either of us knowing. What was supposedly a special plan for people trying to repair their credit my mom was to be on as a co-signer for 3 months then automatically removed.... LIES! We received a letter from the bank which let us know im noooo where on the contract and that there is no way for me to be on this unless i refinacne the car with another bank. Im so annoyed.. I have been denyed my sales contract for two months now. They ignore me and lie to me over and over again. They "forgot" to include my registration in the deal but really they keep that for themselves and make you pay for it a month later when you get tickets for having expired dealer temp registrations. Im sick of it and im calling a lawyer. ASAP

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
I went to look at a demo car (7,000 miles) that was listed on their website and made an appt to see the car and talk price. Then they tell me that mysteriously they don't have the car there and want to talk about new cars instead. The salesman that I made an appt with doesn't even know the details of the car that I wanted to buy and that I specifically made an appointment to see. The salesman was clueless even about their new inventory and would only discuss monthly payments so I couldn't see the total price of the car we were discussing. He says that he can offer me a "great deal" of and gives a number for monthly payments but didn't know the interest rate or even the term of the "deal" he's offering me. DON'T GO HERE. They don't know what they're doing; it's a total scam.

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
I began the *preliminary process* of buying my first car over a month ago: research, pricing, my needs vs. budget, etc.
Mazda was one of the first cars I was researching. Of course I only requested a quote but they insisted I come in for a test drive instead. At that time I had a very busy schedule so I agreed to stop by after two weeks, on a Saturday. In those two weeks I received 8+ phone calls PER DAY, and some too early for a Saturday and Sunday morning. That was a month ago. They have been calling 6-8+ a day, everyday since then. I am so annoyed at this point that even if I still wanted a Mazda, I will never deal with them. I understand aggressive sales techniques but it's become harassment at this point.

My Review of Giuffre Mazda of Bay Ridge:
they are the worst dealership ever. they were very rude and nasty. sold me a car with scratches when i told them many times i do not want the car with scratches and , they promise to fix right a away so fine no problem. still have the scratches, promise me tinted windows never put on no they only gave me a WE OWE slip and ask me to schedule for service i call many times and never receive the call back, had to fill my own gas and pay from my pocket after i drove out of the lot and notice the gas light was on the gas meter was on empty, they promise to pay me back right away now i have to wait for it in the mail. Missing an antenna and had to go back for my antenna. Richie from finance was a complete fraud tricked into signing blank forms, was never shown the prices after signing, When ask many times for them he said it will be the mail. found one of the signed documents in the car glove compartment which was only the loan document which no one told me it was in the glove compartment. notice we had to pay more than expect never clearly told us what was the product or policy we are buying and never was on the loan document. I also notice they have change the interest on my loan document. when i sign the policy or options paper it clearly says 8.29% interest. When ask to see all my signed papers they refuse to show and told me it is in another location. i had to make an appointment to see my sign documents. made the appoinment and notice he has alter the paper clearly see 9 was written over the 8 with a pen. ask to have a copy of that paper they refuse. i ask them why? he said he needs it for record. he than show me the bill of sales and notice they put $5,000 for after sale and 13.00 for tire fee when ask what the $5,000 for he said i chose the Option three in the policy paper that cost 5,000. i complain why he didn't tell me when i sign the papers, he only said its a good deal if only you are keeping the car for more than 5 years during the signing. of course anyone read and looking at the paper will choose for the lower inerest rate and low monthly payment. I went and complain to the sales manager and ask to speak to the owner or general manager he said they are not available they have left for the day so ask him can i see them thursday he said they won't be here they will be away for the weekend so had to make the appointment to see them on Monday Dec 11, 2006. I have file a complaint to consumer affairs and BBB and if they still do not change all my contracts and take the $5,000 out I will go and report to them to the News channel and Newspaper. if anyone has become the victim of Giuffre Mazda please give me an e-mail so we can cooperate and find a way to get want we wanted from the company and make sure they will not do it to another comsumer. please contact me at skan2428@hotmail.com
