My Review of Go Subaru West:
Pulled a Bait and switch with Cars.com. Advertised a Legacy Sedan as an Outback. I called on the unbelievable price. They confirmed and told me to come down. I left work early and they brought me out to a 2009 Outback priced 6000 higher. They played innocent and stupid. At least I know the latter is true. .

My Review of Go Subaru West:
I am never going back for maintenance or to buy another car, and I am spreading the word that my experience there was BAD! First time buying a new car, and it will probably be the last- I think I developed ulcers.

Oh- come here for the test drive, it is AWESOME! Then drive down to Heuberger in Colorado Springs if you decide you want to buy. Not only are their salespeople real people, they have an amazing complementary drink stand.
The test drive at Go Subaru West: They take you up a mountain and on a private drive with lots of twists and turns and then tell you to peel out on gravel to test the AWD. I bet it would have been amazing in snow!

Things that were terribly annoying:
No one but the front desk lady who transfers you was ever available
Apparently they don't have voicemail
They do not call you back until you call many many times
I don't think they value their "valued" customers

Why?:

The lady at the front desk, Mary, was very rude- in person and on the phone. Like she doesn't have time for the people who are basically writing her paycheck. I was on hold for twenty minutes after she said she would transfer me, and just for kicks I had someone else call and leave a message with her to have the person I was trying to get a hold of call him back, and he was called back within three minutes. I guess we really offended her with the car we used for cash-for-clunkers...

The sales people were only nice because they were trying to sell us something, and they lied through their teeth about some important things. Sure, they fixed one of the problems, but only after a TON of badgering. This is probably a normal thing when dealing with car sales, but it is still annoying in my book. Almost had to drive back up there and supervise to make sure it got DONE. Every other Subaru dealership I have been to has had down-to-Earth salesmen who aren't there to waste anyone's time, but these guys are NOT honest and they evidently thrive on drama or love being yelled at. Dan Carne was our sales man, and when we were in there face-to-face he was very nice and I probably would have liked him as a person outside the office.

The finance guy had a big poster that said something about morals and ethics... It made me laugh. I was there with my domestic partner and some other family members, and this particular guy did not even acknowledge my existence. He seemed a bit sour but I suppose he was nice enough to the men involved. I understand wanting to get us OUT of there (we wanted to be done, too) but he rushed a little too much because we had to go through a lot of phone calls later to make sure the deal went through with the promised interest rate and tax rate.

Overall, these guys were a huge pain to deal with. If all dealerships are like them, then I guess they aren't that bad, but I have never bought a car from a dealership before and this experience has probably sent me to my grave a few years early. I have a fragile enough mental state without being ridiculed and humiliated, and I doubt anyone wants extra drama in their lives. I really hope everything is taken care of so I never have to think about them again. Aaaaaaahhh!!!!!
