My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
Avoid the Service Manager Dan Stone at all costs. He is extremely arrogant, rude and unprofessional. They tried to trick me into paying almost $700 for a service that was covered completely by my warranty. I was not naïve enough for their scam and checked back with the warranty and found out that all cost should have been covered, contrary what they told me at the dealership. When I confronted Dan Stone about these actions he asked me “If I paid?” and when I said no, he replied that an “attempt” to wrongfully charge me DOES NOT COUNT as a crime or a wrongdoing and was only an ATTEMPT. Costumers hate and as I herd so do his employees. He is ruining the name of the dealership and VW as a whole. How do the owners of the business still keep this person around in that position when he is causing the business to loose clients?

My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
Do not take your vehicle to this dealer for any service. My car was due it's 1st 10k maint. and what started out to be a good experience turned south real fast. When I turned my key over to the service rep. Norman, I asked him if they offered free car washes like my dealer in NC, the answer was no due to a drought in GA, I said ok. An hour and a half later I was told that my car was ready and that they were going to wash it. I thought that they were wasing it out of the kindness of their hearts but long behold, they were trying to cover up the damage they caused to my vehicle. When they pulled my car up, it had a huge scratch on the front right bumper. When I told Dan Stone(Service Manager), the first thing he did was denied responsibility and refused to pay for the damage that they have caused. Words of advise for all, make sure that you sign something in writing annotating any physcial damage inside and out, that way you are covered. Dan Stone is very un-professional and should consider other employment that does not require dealing with customers.

My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
Terrible service department. I brought in my 2003 Jetta because the check engine light was on. I had already paid Goodyear for a diagnostic check, and I brought their report to Gossett VW, which showed a problem with the catalytic converter (which was under a RECALL notice). The service rep (Ansley) told me they would "take a look".

Long story short - They told me my car needed $800 in repairs (but Goodyear told me $150). So I said NO THANKS, I'll take my car back now. That's when Ansley told my my bill was $100. "For what?" I asked. "For the diagnostic check," he said. I told him I already paid for a diagnostic check from Goodyear, which I had given him directly. He said "We can't use that diagnostic. We had to run our own." Of course he never explained that up front, so I refused to pay. During our argument, he accused me of being a "liar" and other such nonsense. So I phoned the service manager, Dan Stone, who was even more RUDE THAN ANSLEY! I was insulted and called dishonest. Let me repeat that: I, the CUSTOMER, was insulted and called dishonest. When I reminded Dan Stone that "the customer is always right" he responded with "No they aren't".

Reason for Visit: Sales (New)

I recommend this dealer: Yes

My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
The sales department was remarkable. David properly demonstrated the car to me, explained and showed me how to work all of the options. Then the follow up after the sale was great, an email immediately that thanked me for my purchase. Also 2 days later a card in the mail thanking me, as well as a phone call after I left from the dealership. The entire staff treated me like I was some one famous or special. Thank you Gossett.

My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
My experience with the entire sales team was wonderful. I received 1st class service. The vehicle was demonstrated thoroughly and David took the time to make sure I know how to use all of the accessories and items in the car. What blew me away was the follow up from David of, now get this, an email thanking me for purchasing, a phone call to my home with a message as I left the dealership thank ing me, and then I get a Thank you note in the mail 2 days later. I have never had such a great experience. I will shop there as long as I need a VW. Gossett Volkswagen actually cares about their customers.

My Review of Gossett Volkswagen of Alpharetta:
This dealership will take steal your property, don't take your car here!

I took my car to the service shop late one night. On my way home from the dealership, I realize I left my $400 phone inside. However, the dealer is already closed, so I figured I could call in the morning and let them know what happened. This is the dealership after all so I shouldn't have to worry about employees stealing my property (this is one of the reasons to pay the dealership premium). However, by the time I called early next morning, there was no sign of my phone anywhere. The employees could offer me nothing but wait to talk to the manager the next day. The manager (Dan Stone) turned out to be the rudest customer service representative I have ever dealt with. Not only did he give me NOTHING in return, he also had the nerve to tell me that if I hadn't used the word steal, he would have been more receptive to giving me a discount.

This whole ordeal happened because I took my car there in the first place to fix a rattle, and on the drive home for the first time EVER, the check engine light comes on. So I take it back, and thats when the phone gets stolen. Funny coincidence that my car needs another repair which they wont claim responsibility for and steal my phone as well. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this dealer.

Was going to buy a car here, until I witnessed manager verbally tear into several employees. I refuse to give my money to a company that is run like this. To hear yelling in the showroom is not acceptable.
