My Review of Grand Prix Motors:
Visited this dealership for car purchase. Was told that the vehicle of interest was in good shape and had a 60 day waranty value. When I enquired about taking the vehicle to my mechanic for a 2nd opinion, I received hesitation and anger from the owner, Joe. I should have stopped then, as it was clear that the dealership was trying to cover up problems with the car. The vehicle had been cleaned up to look very good. When I returned with a vehicle report from my mechanic, detailing the problems found with an oil leak which was getting into the alternator, and severe overheating problems with the cooling system, the dealer would not discuss selling the vehicle at a fair price or offering to fix the problems. Obviously this dealership would rather put band-aids on any severe issues with their cars and try to sell to unsuspecting customers, who will run into dangerous or deadly problems later. Had I purchased this vehicle from Grand Prix, I have no doubt that it would have overheated and broken down, possibly on a long highway trip far from the dealership. Had the car been returned to the dealer for repair, they would have stalled with cosmetic "fixes" until their made-up warranty period was ended and any car owner would be stuck with large repair bills for hidden issues.
It is my strongest urge to beware of this car dealership in Danbury, CT at all costs, as I would not be able to trust them on any vehicle from the lot.
