My Review of Grossinger Volvo:
Bought a 2000 S40 Volvo for my daughter from them back in March 2007. The car was a total lemmon. They knew there were big problems with the car and they sold it to me anyway so they could make money in Service. I know this because over a year later, I spoke with the Salesman who sold me the car. He has since left Grossinger to work for Star Nissan, which is, by the way, a great dealership. As soon as I drove it off the lot, the Check engine light went on. I called the salesman and he told me "don't worry, bring it on Monday and we'll take care of it." I brought it in and they replaced the thermostat, which was not the problem. Within a day, the airbag system failed and had to be replaced. The starter was bad and had to be replaced. I had to replace cam sensor and many other engine parts within first 2 months of ownership. Overall, I spent over $6000 repairing the car to get it to run right (These repairs were done by Patrick Volvo, another good dealership)
I called the sales guy right after the passenger air bag system failed and he said "we can't do anything for you; you bought the car as is with no warranty". I tried speaking with "management" and got the run-around. They had the nerve to try to "upgrade" me to another more expensive "lemmon".
They also took 9 months to get me the "title" and registration which both had the wrong address when it was finally sent to me.
Also, they charged me $200 to have a second key made.
This was just a total nightmare experience.
