My Review of Groth Bros.:
Following is my interaction with George (last name?) sales person with
Groth Bros' car dealership in Livermore, California.
Statement of fact: I am a long time customer with Groth Bros. In 1972, I bought my first new Truck from Bill Groth. Just recently, I bought a new 2001 Siverado Truck which they have been servicing.

Looked at used 2005 Jeep Wrangler for $16,995.00 when George came up to us and asked if he could help. After looking at the Jeep for a while we told him that we here from Murphys and want to buy a 4x4 Jeep and we found this one on the internet. We were interested in the bottomline because we were going to look at 2 more Jeeps and we wanted to do comparative shopping.
He told us that there was no bottomline, so we told him we wanted know what we can get the Jeep for without haggling. We didn't have much time, so give us a price so we can go see the other cars. He told us that he had 36 years of experience and we should learn from him that there is no bottomline and that we should give him an offer. At this point we decided to leave.
Between 1:30 - 2:00 PM
Don (Sales Manager) called me and said, the price we can have the Jeep for was $15400.00. I thank him and told him we would come back if we thought that there Jeep was the best buy.
Between 2:00 - 2:30 PM
George called and said the bottomline was $11995.00. We were thrilled.
Between 3:30 - 4:00 PM
I called Don to confirm the $11995.00 price because we were narrowing it down to 2 Jeeps. Don said he had no idea why George would offer $11995.00 because the price for the Jeep is $15400.00. I asked him few more times what were they doing. He said he had no idea why George offered $11995.00.
Needless to say, we bought a Jeep from another dealership.
