My Review of Heartland Toyota:
I purchased a used toyota from a man, he made everything sound so peachy just great, said if there were any probs with the car right after I bought it they'd take care of me and it only had 1 "smart key" ($250) but he was pretty sure he could get me a spare and it was so great. Next couple days I call to get my spare key, he said he would call the woman who owned the car previously and call me back. 1 week later no call so I call him, he can't be found. I call again he says she said she "NEVER" had a spare key so I asked him if they cold meet me half way with the cost of a new one he said he would see and call back. No call, a few days later I call and say i'm on my way to talk about this key, I get there and magically one appears already programed for my car and he says its so funny we had it the whole time but no one told me? So 1 he lied because the woman would of had a key and 2 he never calls back or cares after the sale! Now 28 days into my new 'certified' car the engine maintence light is on and guess what- no one cares. I have to front $92 for diagnostics to see if its something covered by my warranty. Bumper to bumper warranty should cover everything so why?? I'm not paying them 1 cent, i'll go to another toyota dealer and pay them the money! They suck & they're rude (guess most used sales men can be) and they don't stick to their original story. Lesson learned. Next time I buy a car i'm going to video tape it!!

My Review of Heartland Toyota:
To make it short. Bought a supposedly brand new 07 RAV4 with only one key. Took their word that a second key will be available in such a time. Went there two times with no key. When I got home I found out the Owner's manual was not in the vehicle. I paid with a cahier's check out of my own funds and when I received the vehicle registration document it was on a lien with a bank. I called the dealership to tell them that it should be on my name and I was told there is nothing they can do because it's already registered. I told them that it was their fault and that they should correct their mistake. When I went to the dealership to sign a power of attorney to get it changed under my name I wasn't even offered a seat. I stood at the Finance office all the time I waited for the POA to be prepared and the guy there was rude. Also, didn't notice until later that the price sticker included free gas but I remember seeing on the invoice that there was a charge for the gas. Finally, I called the Toyota Customer Care for a question about my RAV4 and during the conversation I was told by a woman customer rep that I was not the named owner of the vehicle.

Reason for Visit: Service

I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Heartland Toyota:
Being the only Toyota dealer in Kitsap County, you either use Heartland Toyota Service Department or go across the bridge. Their service department is slow, very slow. I schedule a Saturday appointment, because the Service Reps, said do it on Saturday, it will done faster. Faster than what? Four hours later SUV was ready. Service done, install rain guards and install fog light bulbs only. Don't waste your valuable time on Saturdays. I feel sorry for Joanne Haselwood, her son doesn't have the car savy that Chuck had with his customers. I hope the new Toyota dealership has better service. Free expresso do not earns points when you get the bill for your repairs, four hours later.

My Review of Heartland Toyota:
We had our 2005 Corolla in to have it's Serpentine Belt replace 1 year ago - when the car was only 1 Year Old. We told the Service Dept at that time that we felt like there had to be a reason the belt would go bad - maybe something wasn't aligned right, etc.

They told us - Nope - it's just the belt is bad - these things happen!!!

Now - a year later - guess what! Yep - another bad belt! Now they say it's because the Tensioner is bad - or broke. We are confident it was broke a year ago! Now they want to charge us about 350.00 to replace this tensioner! This should have been found a year ago!

After making several calls to Toyota - and also to the dealership - they told me - you have to pay for it - and then we will see if we can get you your money back from Toyota! Yeah Right! The General Manager Tom Defendorf replied to me when I told him - we want you to pay to fix this because it should have been found a year ago - he said to me - I guess we don't have anything else to discuss and hung up!

When I called the Service Department back to tell them to just fix the belt - and that we would take our car somewhere else to have it fixed - he said we can't do that - we won't do that! So now - we are being screwed out of the belt that we paid for a year ago - it's still under their 1 year warranty for parts that go bad - but now we are going to have to pay someone else to fix the car - because after talking to a good friend who is a mechanic - and actually worked for Heartland Toyota for 8 years - he said he would not trust anyone there with his bicycle!!!

My Review of Heartland Toyota:
After calling to inform us a vehicle arrived on their lot with options and pricing as desired, we traveled two hours to make the purchase. When we arrived at the dealership, the options on the vehicle were not as previously specified and the pricing was increased approx. $6,000. The entire experience was handled unprofesionaly by the dealership. One would think when buying a car such as a Toyota, you wouldn't have to deal with slimeball tactics to generate business. Obviously this is not the case at this dealership.

Not pushy at all. Respected customers right to voice opinion which may or may not agree with theirs. Very willing to negotiate.
