My Review of Hennessy Mazda Pontiac GMC:
I contacted Hennessy GMC about a vehicle they had listed on autotrader, and talked to one of their internet dealers about their vehicle for sale and a possible trade situation. I had another trade offer on my truck which I intended to trade and asked if they could match that offer. There first quote came in a little short of where I needed to be, so I gave them another chance. I told them exactly what I needed to make it work on my end, and we needed to work out a good faith quote before I committed to making the long drive to their dealership. (That should not be difficult for them to do, since I was trading a late model GM truck at a GM dealership.) They promised me that we they could do that, as long as my vehicle was as I described it to them (which I knew it was). So I took a half day of vacation and made the four hour drive from Savannah to their dealership. I examined the vehicle that I was interested in and everything seemed to be in order. After about an hour they got around to looking at my truck and came back with a number that was about $900 less than what we agreed upon. This number had nothing to do with the condition of my truck, but they said it was due to the fact that my truck was a work truck model and they did not take that into consideration. They printed out my description, and I pointed out that I clearly stated in my description that it was a work truck, and I also gave them the VIN and pictures to confirm that information. They admitted it was an over site on their part, but still wanted me to loose $900 for their mistake. They eventually came up $500 dollars, but I still felt that was too much money to loose for their mistake. I left their dealership with only wasted time and driving expense. They did fill up my truck with gas for their mistake. However, that was my suggestion and not theirs. I know the amounts shown are not huge when it comes to vehicle purchases, but I feel it does show a lack of integrity and respect for the customer.
