Bought a used Ram, within a week a had fuel issue. On the day I made my 2nd payment the engine had a issue. I dropped it off and ever since I never get the follow up that I am told I would get but now I am being told it could be another month. So that’s two payments made in the first 3 months and two major issues and it could be another month before I see it. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. More
Bought a Chevy Tahoe on May 29th 2023, A/C went out within a week, they did fix that, after having it for a week, then a week and a half later, vehicle started running really rough, sluggish at getting within a week, they did fix that, after having it for a week, then a week and a half later, vehicle started running really rough, sluggish at getting to freeway speeds, popping sounds from front and rear, called and spoke to Ron in service, he said it was our problem and call extended warranty, which we did and they told us had to wait 30 days for contract to go into effect, just took it to the shop and $4,000 worth of repairs on a supposedly certified used vehicle, have called don't there multiple times and left messages for Scott Adams (sales manager) or that's who receptionist says I need to talk to, will not return a single phone call, they got their money for purchase and couldn't care less!!! Purchase a Bronco out of state and circumstances changed where I needed to change contract address. Steve in F&I refuses to recontract saying it’s my fault that I didn’t give correct address upfront. Unpro where I needed to change contract address. Steve in F&I refuses to recontract saying it’s my fault that I didn’t give correct address upfront. Unprofessional and very difficult to deal with. Corporate ignoring complaint, as well. More
Bunch of scam artist employees. Do not trust anything they tell you. They will lie to you with a straight face and deny when you call them out on their lies and prove it to them. Reluctantly I had to select a 1 star for their review, and there was not a minus star for my choosing. I found a van on Ken Garff Ford of West Valley's website I was interested in purchasing. I live 4 and there was not a minus star for my choosing. I found a van on Ken Garff Ford of West Valley's website I was interested in purchasing. I live 4 hours away from their location. I called the dealership at 9:30 am. Salesman Bret Allen answered my call. We spoke at length about the van, and he confirmed it was on the lot and available to purchase. After hearing all the beautiful things about the van, I said I would call my Credit Union and get financing and get the VIN from my possible trade-in. I inquired about a deposit on the van while checking things out and getting all the information to make a possible purchase. He told me about a $1,000 NON-refundable deposit to secure the van. Bret stated, well, no one is here looking at the van. You should be okay. 10 am, we got off the phone, and I started to gather all the information to make a purchase/decision: financials, VIN of a trade-in, and confirming my niece could come down that afternoon to test drive the van. If all checked out, the NON-refundable deposit would be made to them after the test drive. Shortly after hanging up the phone, I received a text from Rudy Backer; he sent photos and videos of the van. Over the next three hours, we shared 73 texts back and forth, and I secured financing through MY Credit Union and was getting the VIN for a possible trade-in. 1:00 pm One last question for Rudy in a text, does it have a receiver hitch? He responds to my text, "It got sold." WOWZER - I was naturally taken aback by the lack of consideration for my time and effort to purchase a vehicle from this well-known dealership. I called Bret Allen and said, what the heck? I secured my financing and had my niece scheduled to test drive the van, and yadda, yadda, yadda. Bret said well, a guy walked in, test-drove the van, and said he wanted it. Bret said, "I told Rudy he needed to call you to let you know. That call was not made. Naturally, again I was taken aback by the lack of consideration for my time and effort to purchase a vehicle from this well-known dealership. I received the General Sales Manager's name and phone number. I was told he was in an all-afternoon meeting with their company salesmen, and I could leave him a message. I called and left a message. At most, 5 minutes later, I received a call from General Sales Manager Chris Carmody. I explained my situation, and the lack of consideration for my time and effort to purchase a vehicle was horrible. He STRONGLY supported his salesman in how I was treated. He was very aggressive in his speech, cutting me off several times and yelling at one point, "You were made aware of our policy of a deposit"! I had worked with two salesmen over the phone for 3 hours on the vehicle! My credit took a hit with the inquiry. The General Sales Manager, Chris Carmody needed to be more empathic with how I was treated. As a "General Manager," his lack of professionalism was appalling. He said, "Well if the deal does not go through with the other buyer, we will call you." I laughed and said, "No, thank you." This customer will NEVER recommend or visit this dealership ever!! My review may not mean anything to them or you, but I needed to express my displeasure with Ken Garff Ford of West Valley, Utah. UGH More
What an excellent experience I had working with your team as I purchased a new Ford Bronco -- specifically Justin James, an absolutely fantastic sales rep. I've met with many automotive sales reps through the years, and Justin and the team at the dealership were just great. Patient, helpful, responsive -- I was genuinely impressed, especially since I took my sweet time finding the right Bronco for myself! Justin was so helpful in following up with me over time, providing options, and -- as your campaign says -- genuinely listening to what I wanted and what I was looking for. And the purchase experience was great too with Jake Beck, he was outstanding. I've never felt this way in buying a vehicle, thanks for running such a great team. 🙂 More
I bought a van from here two months ago, and my experiences with this dealership have been abysmally negative. I can make a list of all the things that have gone wrong since I walked in their front experiences with this dealership have been abysmally negative. I can make a list of all the things that have gone wrong since I walked in their front door: -They failed to give me all the documentation they needed when I first arrived and purchased the van. I even came the next day regarding an issue with my temporary tags (which they did nothing to try and resolve) and they did not advise me of this missing document until an hour after I had already returned home. -I have had a check engine light on literally since two days after driving the van off the lot. I took it in within two weeks to get it fixed, and they kept it for a week. A WEEK! And all they did was put in transmission fluid (or at least, that's all they said they did) and gave it back to me. No paperwork or anything with it. -And guess what? The check engine light came back on within 50 miles again! It was the same code regarding the transmission. I took it in two weeks ago (after waiting nearly two weeks from scheduling the appointment), and they didn't have any updates for me at all when I called 4 days later. After 8 days, I finally called and asked for a supervisor, and was told that my transmission needed to be overhauled and that I was looking at another week without a van. I told them to give it back to me while they got the equipment need to reassemble the transmission, since it was driving alright at the time, and they said it was usable at the time, and could manage a few hours on the road. -During that window, I spent roughly 3.5 hours on the road, The van went from working fine enough to becoming nigh undrivable. And not because of the transmission! No, the power steering completely stopped working! If you don't know just as I didn't know, these are totally separate systems. The power steering makes it so you can hardly turn, and when you do, it sounds like an angry monster getting abruptly woken up in the morning. Oh, and the van has had no windshield wiper fluid since the time I drove it off the lot. Mind you, this was a 2019 with 64K miles on it, and I've barely put on 1K. I bought a 2008 at another Ken Garff dealership a year ago, and despite that car being a lemon too, I had less issues in the first 2 months, with more miles, than with this one. How was this considered ready to sell!? Go watch the original Matilda movie--it's like I bought this from Wormwood Auto Sales! I am a rideshare driver, and I have missed out on opportunities to make thousands of dollars because of the ineptitude of some of the representatives here. Why they've spent an accumulated 2 weeks with my vehicle over 2 separate periods without resolving the issue at hand is beyond me. Meanwhile, the Sundance Film Festival passed me by, and numerous promotions on rideshare driving apps were out of reach. The van didn't even get halfway through a 26 ride threshold before the power steering essentially fell apart. While thankfully I am a year out from being financially desperate, I would be 100% SOL by now if I lived from paycheck to paycheck, and as a direct result of this dealership. If you are looking at buying a car from a Ken Garff dealership, don't. I've had so many miserable experiences between both of the vehicles I've purchased from KG dealerships in the past 10 months. They've rendered me unable to work and essentially isolated within my home while I'm left hoping that they are doing more than filling my van full of sawdust and duct tape. Just don't, and thank me later. More
Worst car buying experience of my life. I will never do business with any Ken Garff dealership again. They are dishonest. We made a $1,000 deposit to be put on a waiting list to order a Mach-E after being told the deposit was fully refundable. We found another vehicle prior to entering any order for the Mach-E and when we requested the deposit back were told they had changed the policy and the deposit could only be applied to the purchase of another vehicle. When questioned about the previous statement we were told that unless we had it in writing they wouldn't honor it. More
This is no way negates my other review but to give credit where credit is due Brandon in the service department did do some serious legwork to fix a totally botched situation, and I was very happy with his e where credit is due Brandon in the service department did do some serious legwork to fix a totally botched situation, and I was very happy with his efforts. After another month waiting for my marker lights to be installed, and being assured when I got there everything would be ready to go, they had indeed ordered the wrong parts two months before and NOT checked them until the day of my (third) appointment. Brandon called other dealers to find the right parts, personally went and got them, and had his service team still get it done for me that day. I am still extremely disappointed in that it even got to this point but Brandon was fantastic and got it done. Despite the fact that there were significant metal shavings left in the interior as well as on my windshield when I picked it up, a strong thank you also to the mechanics who hustled to get it done.
