My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
I got my vehicle two months after I purchased it. I received it with an empty tank, a broken windshield wiper, and 600 more miles than I was supposed to have.
I signed a new contract for a lower monthly payment and found out (on my own) that it never went through after two months.
I was then told they would make a payment for me for all the trouble.
I had to wait 5 months and make several calls to their corporate office until it finally happened.
They talked down to me, were very rude, did not help me at all, ignored all of my messages, and lied to me.
I would not recommend this dealership to a single person. I have already turned 7 people away from buying a car from them.
I will say, however, that there is one kind, helpful employee that works there. He is a blond man in the service department.

My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
purchased a used toyota highlander .dealer was suppose to install a new bracket . they had toorder it .waited 6 months for part.got a call to bring my car in.Guess what they ordered wrong part. I have owned vehicle for 10 months now and still do not have part installed yet. overall buying from herb chambers has not been a pleasant experience. will purchase my next vehicle from lundgreen honda.

I will write a formal letter to the local news and papers, but in a nutshell, Zack has been riding around in my vehicle for 2-3 weeks while lying to me about getting it fixed, then had the audacity to fix it himself and tell me that a well known shop had done the work. They never gave me a copy of my financing, never signed the paperwork for release of the vehicle (with 1000+ extra miles on it), started my financing before I even signed the title (2-3 weeks), and told me on three different occaisions that the vehicle was ready and after I drove all the way to the dealership, I was told it wasn't. My frustration level was put to the test daily and now that I finally have my Jeep, there is no joy what-so-ever!

My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
Herb Chambers was the closest dealer to my home, but my research on the web, and thru some friends had found negative comments about the dealer. I had already contacted three other Toyota dealers for the best price on the Sienna minivan. I just went in with my Wife and two young kids for a test drive. We were treated very well - there was no high pressure, Jimmy was very polite, "Alex" called me later in the day to give me a final price on the vehicle (it was great) At that price I expected to get whatever was on the lot - but Alex asked me what color my Wife wanted and he got it from another dealer. I contacted the other Toyota dealers and they warned me about this low price and how they would pad the price with dealer installed options and elevated fees. Alex did all the upfront paper work (trade in) and now for the tough part (Matt Newhouse) the business manager. Matt was also great - no pressure - I had a few questions about options detailed on their web site and opted for none of them.
We picked up the vehicle at the time promised to all our specifications. I have purchased or help people purchase many cars - I have never gone to the same dealer twice - this may be a first. I highly recomend this dealer at this location.

this was a horrible buying experience. I wen to the dealership and clearly expressed that I needed a car a.s.a.p. I was told I would have my car the next day, but when I went to sign the papers I was then told it would be a few days. I decided that I could wait, only to find out that I would be waiting for two weeks, which they didn't tell me until after I gave my down payment. It has now been over two weeks and I still have not received my car. I have missed work and school because of their horrible service and would NEVER reccommend buying from them

My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
This dealership only cares about making a sale, and not customer satisfaction once the papers are signed. I purchased a vehicle there and also purchased the extended warranty which includes tire/wheel protection thru a third-party. 5 days after my purchase I had a flat tire from running over something. I was told my paperwork would be sent to the third-party at the end of the month. I was made to pay for the tire up-front, being told that the 3rd party doesn't have dealer reimbursement. This was a lie, as I found out that they DO have an agreement with this dealership. 4 months later, and the information STILL has not been sent to the 3rd party and they will now not accept my claim because HC took too long to send it in (along with the premiums!). The salesman told me on at least 2 occasions "I'll get to the bottom of this and call you back today" and has not delivered. Not only would I not recommend this dealership, but I will go one step further and tell everybody I can to NOT use this dealership. They brag about customer service, but it's a lie to make a sale. They don't care about the consumer at all.

the incompetent service representative gave me the wrong information again and again about when my warranty actually expires on certain parts, as a result I paid for repairs that would have been under warranty two months ago when I first went to this dealer for repairs, luckly they were minor replacements that I was able to do my self.

My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
Sales experience in 2003 great, bought a Camry and RAV4. Finance guys are very pushy - just say no to them. Service department is something else. Most service writers only interested in "selling" service - as much as they can. One got very aggressive and threatened a voided warranty if I didn't buy service over and above that recommended by the manufacturer. Examples of over service include severe service oil changes every 3000 miles. Manufacturer states 5000 miles. Cabin air filer replacement costs $99. The filter can be had for $19. It takes less than three minutes to replace it. There are many other examples. Beware the costs and read your factory manual. Don't trust the service departments "right out of the owner's manual" brochure. It's not true.

What a run around. Never returned phone calls. Had to drive in to get answers to my questions. When I got there I found out my salesman didn't work there any more. What clowns...I'm leaving messages for someone whos fired and never told!!!!!Then they told me my car would be there in 6 weeks, 7/16/06. I called 7/19 and was told they can't find my car. They called me the next day to tell me they found it. It was being made and would be another 6-7 weeks before I could get it. I told them that was enough. I would never buy anything from that dealership. Stay as far away from these guys as possible.

My Review of Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn:
I had a very good experience with Dave Green in sales he was very
straight forward, he matched my best price which I got over the internet.
He got me the car I wanted at a great price with no B.S.

I must caution you however that when you sit down in the "finance" room
with Jason Dipitrio the heavy handed sales tactics begin, this guy is brutal,
he pounded on us for aprox half an hour to buy an extended warranty to the point where I was ready to walk out and say forget it.
All in all a good deal just watch out for the" finance" guys.
