My Review of Hoffman Toyota of Avon:
i was interested in purchasing a used Matrix. I called ahead and they had one in stock. When I asked if it was Toyota certified, they basically told me that it wasn't, but that if I purchased the car they could do the certification inspection for me for $500. I went to look at the car the same day, about 2 hours after talking on the phone with them. When I got there, they told me they had already done the certification for me - if the certification program really is what Toyota says it is, there is no way they could have done it in that little time. When I drove the car, one of the windshield wipers didn't work at all, the oil was dirty, and a piece of the molding on the bottom of the car was hanging off. Not only was the car poorly maintained but they were going to charge me an additional $500 for a car that wasn't even inspected!
