My Review of Hunterdon BMW:
In May of 2000 I purchased a certified pre-owned 98 328i from this dealer. I was very happy with the car, and when it came time to upgrade to an m3, I went right back to this dealer. They had a gorgeous 98 m3 4 door on their lot. The car appeared to be in good shape, and a test-drive suggested the same. I asked the sales manager pointed questions such as "Has this car been in an accident or damage in any way?" and "Are you required by law to tell me if it has been?" He said that the car has never been damaged, and agreed that he was required to tell me if it was. We negotiated a purchase price, and got credit approval. I was set to sign the papers the next evening, after the car was detailed and ready to go. On a whim, right before I left the next evening, I decided to check the vehicle's carfax. The $15 report charge was easy insurance for a 30k deal. The information that came back astounded me. The pristine car I was about to purchase had a salvage title from Maryland. Naturally, I became quite incensed, and called the sales manager. He claimed not to know that the car had a salvage title. I found this very hard to believe. I cancelled the deal, with a strong suggestion he take that car off of his lot. <br>
