Reason for Visit: Sales (Used)

My Review of Huntington:
I visited Huntington Toyota about a month ago. They had a listing on their website and autotrader (which is still up a month later) which showed a 2006 v8 4runner with 42000 miles for $21000. I called the morning of my visit to make sure they still had 4runner because I live 150 miles away. When I got there they didn't have it. It had been 'just sold'. Instead they tried to sell me a 2006 v6 4runner with 50000 miles for $27000!

Terrible bait and switching dealership. Stay away at all costs.

My Review of Huntington:
I called the dealership looking for a 2010 Silver Toyota Camry SE essentially fully loaded, and also asking for a price quote. They told me they had one available, and they gave me a price quote, and told me that if I came in, it would be a negotiable figure. This dealership is approximately 45 min away from where I live, so I went there ready to negotiate, and ready to purchase a car. However, upon arrival, they told me the price was non-negotiable, and the price quote they gave me was for a car that was barely loaded, and if I wanted all these extra features, there would be an extra fee. After finally agreeing upon a price, I purchased the vehicle.

The day I picked up my vehicle, they told me that it would be available at 5PM and they would call me if anything had changed. I arrived around 7PM only to have to wait another 3 hours before my car was available for pick up.

After I left, I discovered that my Ipod connector had no signal and wasn't working. I drove all the way back to the Huntington service station, waited for 3 hours, just for them to tell me that they needed to bring in a special technician to take a look at my radio. After my second trip out there, the tech told me that I didn't have the Ipod capability. I complained to the dealership, and they agreed to install the ipod capability free of charge. I went back again to have them put it in, but that same day, my radio just completely stopped working. In barely a month of buying this car, I've already wasted countless hours and time trying to address all the problems of a brand new car.

My Review of Huntington:
This dealership does a total bait and switch. First they give you a price as an "around" figure. I asked for my price with no money down - it took three days to get an actual number. on the second day, they gave me a price with "no money down" that was great and then when you go act on that price, they tell you oh no we meant taxes, dealer fees etc down - which is about $3 grand. That is taking money out of a customers pocket that they did not expect to spend. be careful what you hear at this dealership.

My Review of Huntington:
Absolutely the worst service, very dishonest people !!! Spent half a day, negotiated the price including the $750 rebate offered by Toyota. Got the signed contract and went home to wait for delivery. Almost two weeks later, I had to call them to get information on what was happening. After a series of callbacks the salesman told me, I have good news and bad news...the good news is we're still waiting on your car and the bad news is that it will cost you $750.00 more since the rebate period ended yesterday. I said wait a minute, I have a contract with you people and the only reason I came in here in the first place was the rebate offer that you wrote in on the contract. These dishonest crooks tried to tell me that the rebate was not based on the contract signing date, but on the date they finally get around to delivering the car I ordered. So essentially, they control the whole process and their "contracts" aren't worth the paper they're written on.
The contracts been canceled, but I will never enter this dealership again, will tell all my friends at work and neighbors how bad it is and report it to Better Business Bureau. I hope they feel good about the $750 they saved, they just lost a customer who had bought 2 previous cars there and had contracted for a third. My relatives also used them, but not any more. I thought the idea was to sell cars, not drive away repeat customers....what a management team !!!

My Review of Huntington:
quoted a price - on a saturday night -when I went to make deal sunday as I had discussed with salesman ---they would not stand behind their price quote which was written -
very unprofessional staff - including managers
would never do business with them
I have complained to toyota national ,better business bureau and I am seeking to see if written quote constitutes a contract
