My Review Of Hyundai Inland Empire:
Throughout the past fifty years, I have purchased new and used cars from a variety of dealerships including most major US and foreign brands. During most of those visits, I recall everything from bait-and-switch and misrepresentation of facts to a somewhat average experience at best. It was never a completely positive experience when I felt like my business was appreciated. I would never hear from anyone at the dealership except about six month before the end of the loan.
However, today was a different experience. Through USAA, I selected a Sonata over the internet and was advised via text that someone would be in touch and was provided with several dealer's phone numbers. I contacted the dealership and actually spoke to a live person who connected me with the Internet sales manager with whom I requested to speak. To my surprise, Tony actually answered the phone and upon finding out my needs, ask me to hold while he connected me personally to the person who would handle the sale should I decide to do so.
Art Lee identified himself in a friendly voice and friendly but professional rapport. I immediately felt comfortable and explained the car I was looking for and my budget. He asked if he could call me back after a cursory review of his inventory. Although he didn't have the exact configuration I had requested, After he called back within 30 minutes and explained what he did have in stock and availability to throughout the region, I felt more informed about other choices I could make and actually save money.
We made an appointment at the dealership late morning where my wife and I met with Art to finalize the deal we had tentatively made over the phone. Everything went smooth considering the number of documents that needed to be understood. In addition, he was able to offer me an interest rate better than the one for which I had been pre-approved. I was able to upgrade my warranty from a 3/36 - 5/50- 10/100 to a 100% 10 year 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage with the savings from his lower interest rate.
Mark, the finance representative, was very helpful completing the volumes of necessary paperwork with a positive and friendly demeanor.
