My Review Of I-95 Toyota & Scion:
Well, my journey started a few months ago when I decided I wanted to trade in my 2006 Honda Pilot. I am a college student and on a tight budget so I wanted something affordable, comfortable and economical. I had been checking with various dealerships to see how much I would get for my trade and to compare prices and models of sedans. I had heard many good things about this dealership being that its close to home (Folkston, GA) and decided to check out their website. I ended up checking out the negotiation tool they had where you list some info on your trade and tell them what you would offer on a vehicle and the internet sales dept. will respond with their offer which will then give you the difference in prices. The internet sales manager Collin Cordell responded to my questions and inquiries. We ended up chatting on their online chat tool and lets just say that this particular employee defintely rubbed me the wrong way. I was interested in Toyota Camry's and I began using the negotiation tool and Collin's first mistake was putting in the wrong numbers into the negotiation tool so I had received a response stating that the differene in my trade and my offer vs. their offer was only $50 out of my pocket. He claimed that he made a mistake and that the offer wasn't valid. I personally think he tried to use that as a tactic to try and lure me in as some of those sleasy car salesman do... He also quoted me a price on my trade and wanted me to come the next day or the day after so I could see about looking at a Honda Accord. He told me that he needed me to come because he already had my Pilot sold??? Need I remind you that Collin has never seen me or my vehicle and he already had it "SOLD"??? I explained to him that I had to work both days and after hearing him say that I honestly didn't want to come in. I also explained that I live nearly 45 minutes away so I would need to let him know in advance when I could come in based on my schedule. He then tells me that he will give me $300 if I come in within the next two days! Are you kidding me?!?!?! Communication was very vague with Collin, it was very one sided. The only way we usually communicated was when he contacted me. He wouldn't respond to my emails, and I began to get frustrated. Another employee ended up stepping in (Brandi Biller) to help clear up the confusion and to try and meet my needs. Brandi immediately tried to clean up Collin's mess that he created. She emailed me and answered my responses and she called me and answered my calls. I tried to make sure that I dealt with Brandi, but of course Collin assumed that he could do better. He finally made it clear that we couldn't go forward with much until I came in and had my vehicle apprasied and picked out a vehicle to buy. I was VERY skeptical about taking a trip 45 minutes away to deal with someone that I already didn't like over the computer. He told me that he would not waste my time and that if I left unhappy he would put gas in my Pilot for making the trip. I ended up talking to Brandi and she took away all the anxiety I had with the trip. I picked out a specific vehicle, had her check on some things for me and I told her that I would be down there shortly and I felt better knowing that I wouldn't have her jumping down my back unlike Collin. When I arrived at the New car dealership I asked for Brandi and they informed me that she was at the other dealership. So I drive to the Used car store assuming that I'm going to deal with Brandi. Brandi wasn't at that dealership either. I end up talking to another salesman by the name of Kyle, who is having to do all the talking for Collin. Kyle ends up telling me the same thing that Collin had already told me days ago on the computer. I told Kyle that I had been in touch with Brandi and he suggests that I go back down to the New car store and speak with Brandi because Brandi wasn't at the Used car store. So while I'm on my way back to the New car store, I call Brandi and she tells me that she actually is leaving and headed home because of personal reasons. I understood and didn't hold anything against her. She gave me a few names of some of the salesman that could help me when I got back to the New car store. When I get there I briefly spoke with Cory Stowell and he goes over some info with me and asks me to go back down to the Used car store to speak directly with Collin, he told me to tell Collin that Cory sent me back down there. So now I'm back to the Used car store and this is my 4th trip between the two dealerships. When I arrive I'm greeted by another salesman who I explain my aggravation with and he takes me inside and he goes to get Collin. I notice that Kyle is still there and sitting at the same spot when I left previously. The other salesman comes back out to inform me that Collin said I need to talk to Kyle and Kyle tells me the same thing that he told me before and at that point I told him thanks and left. So I never saw Collin, which its funny because he pratically begged me to come down there and I NEVER got my gas that he said he'd give me. Collin Cordell is a horrible salesman. He is desperate and will lie and say anything to try and get your business. ---FAST FORWARD--- Two weeks ago I give Brandi a call to see whats going on. My first incident happened around March-April and I call Brandi towards the end of June. So she informs me that she is working at a sister dealership to I95 Toyota and that Collin no longer works there (I later found out that he was fired and now works at Nalley Honda-so buyers beware)!!! We talk about what all happened that day and she apologized and immediately begins helping me and getting some info and tells me to go on I95 toyota and to the brother and sister websites to find some vehicles that I like to get some prices. Cory Stowell also contacted me and between him and Brandi they really helped out a lot. Brandi was very down to earth, sweet, kind, and very helpful. She and Cory both teamed up and she filled in the gaps for Cory so he could help being that he worked at I95 and could be of service since she is the internet manager at Milledgeville Hyundai (Which anyone thinking about looking, check out their website www.milledgevillehyundai.com and ask for Brandi Biller). Cory was very professional, helpful, honest, and kind. To try and make this LONG story short I ended up getting a Certified-Preowned 2007 Toyota Camry! Free oil changes and carwashes come with all new and used vehicles. Great financing and paperwork is a breeze. Anyone looking for a new or used vehicle check out I95 Toyota, ask for Cory Stowell and tell him that Derek Harden from Folkston, GA sent you!!! Thanks again Brandi and Cory, if I wasn't for you two, this review would have been BAD and I wouldn't have got the car an deal I got from I95 Toyota!!!!!!
