My Review of Imports by Day:
When my wife and I walked on the lot we were greeted by one of the sales associates. He immediately helped us out and answered all of the questions with somewhat decent knowledge about the vehicles. He took us out on a test drive which was pretty nice because my wife basically loved the ne Wolfsburg Edition. After we drove back to the dealership we sat down and started to do some talking about the numbers and finance options. My wife and I specifically told him that we will not be putting any money down for this vehicle, so any offers that may come up from the Sales Manager should not have any numbers with money down figured in to it. He said “No Problem” and went to speak to his manager. When he came back the first time he said if we put $1500.00 down our payments would be $381.59 and once again we told him that we are not putting any money down and not to bring back another numbers sheet with any money down figures on it. He said no problem once again and left to talk to his manager. When he came back the second time from talking to his manager his sheet stated that if we had put $2500.00 down that our payments would be $322.43. At this point my wife and I were very disappointed and disturbed for the fact that it seemed as if the manager and the sales associate were playing a game with us. I asked why we are getting the run around and why they are persistent about the down payment, because I told them that I will not put any money down that will more than likely go into someone’s pocket rather than helping me out with my payments.
I told the sales associate that we were very disappointed; we were not given the proper Customer Service as we should have and we were treated as SECOND CLASS CITIZENS. We decided to leave the dealership at this time and as we were walking out the Sales Manager sent the sales associate out to tell us and I quote ”The sales manager was offended because we had said that we did not care if the dealership does not make any money or goes broke”. This was not what we said and it is written at the top of this message what we had told them. I then simply said “This has been the worst treatment we have had ever received from a dealership and Imports by Day dealership just lost about 4 loyal customers because of their Incompetency on giving a good Customer Service, being Greedy and not doing their jobs properly by the regulations of the dealership. The Second Class Citizen treatment is something I will not appreciate or let happen especially if it is done in front of my wife”. I would have let some things go if my wife had not been there, the embarrassment and the un-professional conduct that they had presented in front of both my wife and I, is something that I cannot overlook or just let go. I do hope that the dealership has better standards than this kind of treatment for their customers especially the ones that have been coming around for more than 10 years. I expected something way better than the second Class Citizen Treatment that we had received from the Sales Manager especially when he claims that he was in the Navy and that he has good morals and Core Values and Sales Associate. I would have at least expected the other manager to step in and diffuse the situation. Obviously even though they act as they are your closest buddy, when it comes to talking about the money and finances they act as if it is coming out of their pocket and they became very greedy over a couple of hundreds of dollars which was very Shameful.

My Review of Imports by Day:
I have had several poor service experiences with Imports by Day. The first was with my previous 1999 Audi which was towed in (by Audi Roadside Assistance) due to a failed water pump (under warranty) about 2 PM on Saturday Afternoon. Even though the service department was "open", no one could look at the car and it would be two weeks before anyone could. The rental dept. was closed and I asked if I could get a ride home. The service rep was unwilling to commit to providing me a ride home. I called a friend for a ride home. An embarrassment for a luxury car owner. The following Monday morning, I had the car towed to another local Audi Dealer (where I had purchased the car) and was provided a rental car and was back on the road by the end of the day on Tuesday. My second poor experience was with my current 2002 Audi A6 which I purchased from Imports by Day (I know, I should have known better). After not being able to reach the service dept. by phone, the lines were always full, the service advisor would not schedule an appointment to program my door locks (to lock when the car reaches 15 mph) because it could not be done. So I called the other Audi dealer and scheduled the appt. and the programming was completed in about 20 minutes. All in all Imports by Day does not know how to treat luxury car buyers. I do not recommend them!! Buy there at your own risk.
