My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
I bought a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer from Ira. It had a couple issues that needed attention that werent noticed until after i got it. Ira contacted me after leaving a review here and they made good on the deal by paying to have the issues fixed. Good customer service, I'd recommend them.

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
This was my first experience buying a vehicle through a car dealership. I dreaded the thought of it due to the way people speak of car dealers and salesmen. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude at Ira Toyota of Milford.
The salesman, Mark D., the sales manager, Vince, and the financial person, Victor all made me feel very comfortable. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and relaxed. I expected a lot of high pressure to buy the Toyota Rav4, but instead, they agreed that I should check out the other vehicles that I was curious about and then come back.
After a couple of other dealership visits, I knew I had to return to Ira because they were the best of all the salesmen and dealerships I went to.

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
People were friendly. The transaction from start to finish was pretty quick (< 3 hours total). The pickup was quick, wasn' badgered about extended warranties, etc., like at other dealers. They have a beautiful facility will try them out for service, which I haven't typically done in the past (20 year owner of Toyota trucks).

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
We were extremely pleased with our experience at IRA Toyota of Milford!!! Mark has been more than helpful guiding us in the right purchase for us. We traded in a 2006 gas guzzler...we LOVED the car, but couldn't afford the gas. Mark led us to our brand new 2010 Toyota Camry Le. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and took the time to follow up with us on several occassions. Our Toyota team made our shopping experience not only easy, but pleasant as well. We live a considerable distance away from Milford, MA but still chose to do business with Mark due to the outstanding customer service we had received. We certainly will refer our friends and family to do business with Mark and the IRA Toyota staff of Milford. Thank You!

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
This was the second Toyota dealership I visited, and I felt more comfortable at IRA of Milford.. Bill was easy to work with, and I didn't feel any pressure to make a decision one way or the other.. I felt like if I decided to wait to buy until 2010, I would have maintained a good relationship with Bill and the dealership, and could have come back at any time when I was ready to buy.. Luckily, they had the exact car in the exact color I'd wanted, so we coordinated when I'd come back to pick it up, and my first service appointment has already been set up for me in the next couple of months..

Employee(s) Dealt With: Terry

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
When I left this dealership 5 days ago with my new venza I was going to rate this dealer 5 out of 5. But that changed, Terry my salesman was great, wheeled & dealed for 3 hours and got the trade in I wanted and agreeable price for the new car. Terry and the sales manager where great, friendly, attentive but not over powering. With the trade, deposit, price & term I got the monthly payment I was looking for. Very happy, but it all broke down when I got home and double check the paperwork.

The financial guy screwed me over, a lot of paperwork to sign and the two step shuffle. He went through the financial stuff in detail, confirmed the rate, term, deposit, trade & monthly payment. Then he went into extended warranty. Usual dealer set prices, so says he as a special and can sell me the $2,400.00 extended warranty for $1,400. I know from research that these warranties are under $600 to the dealer and the dealer makes a profit from just filling out the paperwork.

So I was not going to take it, then he goes on about the protection coating for the car inside and out. Scotch guard for the seats and fade resistance for the paint. I have read mixed reviews on these systems. However with cloth seats Scotch guard sounded good. Then he mention dings and dents protection. Not that interested, but then he says they have had record sales on these products due to cash for clunkers, he has some free manufactures coupons he could use. He would just have to check with the manager. So I thought ok, about $1400 worth of extra free protection (dings & dents, plus inside outside protection). So I agreed that if he got the approval from the manager for the free coupon use I would agree to the extended warranty. He then tells me that just adding the $1400 to the loan would add just x to my payment. So I agree agin stating that if the manager approves the free coupons I would do the extended warranty.

He disappears for about 5 to 10 minutes' properly getting a drink and laughing, comes back and said his manger approves the extra payment and the extras. So I thought great free stuff, I'll take the extended warranty. He updated the screen, printed the paper work had me sign, folded it in half and gave it to me. We had already gone over in detail all the terms, he just added extended warranty and increase my payment a little. Didn't think much of it, don't expect financial to out right steel from me.

I get home and I run through the paper work again in detail and turns out he screwed me big time. He added the extended warranty as agreed, but he also FULLY charge me for dings and dents and the protection an extra $1400. He added an extra 3 months to the loan term to hide his deception.

I feel robbed & cheated, he flat out lied and stole from me period. He did not give the extras free via any coupons. This dealer was great until this last part. This as left a bitter taste in my mouth. I would have sang the praises of this dealership to the high heavens, except now I would not recommend them to anyone.

As far as I'm concerned they owe me a check for $1,400 and still give me dings & dents plus the added protection, this is what I was told, this is what I want. I'm so mad beyond belief that I got conned.

Normally the sales get a bad reference but the sales were great, just got conned at the last step.
IRA if you read this do the right thing and fix this.

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
Purchased: 2009 Toyota Highlander
After I determined what type of vehicle I wanted, I didn't want to drive all over to find the right price so I requested an Internet quote from various dealers . I found one place in Smithfield RI and they ended up using poor sales tactics and I reported them to the BBB.
I then received an Internet price from IRA and it was much better. A couple of days later we made the deal. It was a little hectic because of the Clunker trade in but all in all they kept up to their bargain.
There were some issues with the plates and getting the SUV registered but IRA apologized many times and compensated me for it.
I would recommend this dealer to my family and friends.

Employee(s) Dealt With: Tony, Vince Kasetta, Paul Dabee

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
Ira Toyota had been advertising about buying cars before the MA Sales tax increase on August 1, 2009. On July 25 we went to their Milford store to buy a 2010 Toyota Camry. We were told at least half a dozen times that they had a silver base Camry at their other stores and we would get one in a couple of days. Based on that, we signed a purchase contract on Saturday July 25. They promised to have the car available by July 28 (before the MA Sales tax increase)

On July 28, we called to check whether the car was ready; our phone message was not returned.

On July 29th, I called around noon and talked to the salesman Paul Labbe and asked whether the car was ready. He said he was very busy as a lot of cars were coming in and he would have to check and would get back to me within an hour. I did not get a call back, so I called at 3 pm and spoke to a Business Manager by the name of Gary Cooney. He said he would call back in 45 minutes with a status. I did not get a call back, so at 5:30 pm, I called again and was put into voice mail and left a message for Paul Labbe. Again, the call was not answered.

The next morning, that is Thursday July 30th I called around 11 am and spoke to the Sales Manager, Vince Kassetta. He said the car would not be coming until the next week. I told him that I was told that the car would be ready on Tuesday, and given that the sales tax would be rising the following week, I clearly stated that I would not be paying the difference in the sales tax.

The next day (Friday), I called in again and spoke to another manager, Tony. I mentioned all that had happened, the poor customer service, and that not a single time I was called back when promised. He got all flustered and after trying and failing to get a salesman on the phone, he unilaterally decided to cancel the sale with a refund and hung up the phone !!!

On Sunday, August 2, I called in to verify that the sale was cancelled and the refund was processed. The sales person said, “Tony is the General Manager (I think), and if he said that he would have done that. On Tuesday, August 4th, I called my credit card company and found out that the deposit was not refunded. So, I called the dealership again and spoke to Vince Kasettta. He said they probably did not do the refund since they did not have my credit card information. Seemed like a valid explanation although seemed very strange that they did not call me to get the information!!! Anyway, Vince said he would process the refund and call me when it was done. He called be back an hour later (first time a person at the dealership had been true to their word) to confirm that the refund was processed and a receipt mailed out (which I did receive).

At this point, I do not trust anyone at this dealership and am thankful I do not have to have any interaction with them.

Employee(s) Dealt With: never got to an employee - entire aloof dealership

My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Milford:
I did my research, I received internet quotes, was forwarded a "preferred customer number", took time off from work and came to the dealership, stood for over 45 minutes without even getting to a salesperson. Once the CARS money dries up they will no longer have this problem. Thanks, but no thanks !
