Reason for Visit: Sales
I recommend this dealer: No
My Review of Jack Key Nissan:
Unbelievably horrible customer service. After years of waiting to buy a car, I went to this dealership - mind you the FIRST dealership I've been to in YEARS with the intent of test driving some cars with my children (what can I say? I want their feedback). The salesperson, guy named Joe, approached me super friendly like...I told him my intent to test drive some cars. He asked if I intended to buy today, I said no. He asked where else I was looking, I told him Honda, Toyota and them, and that they were my first stop. He went in, my kids and I went to start looking at cars, and when he came out, he told me they had only three people on duty and that I could only test drive one car today, and come back and try the rest tomorrow.
He asked me my price range - and that my range would mean I'm driving three cars. Not having any real experience with this, I said, but I'm here now. I'm busy on the weekdays. Why can't I do so now? He said his manager said one and that's it. And I said, well, I guess I'll go somewhere else. I didn't say it indignant like, but in disbelief. My children and I are the ONLY customers on the lot. The super friendly salesperson's demeanor immediately changed entirely. He turned and walked away, saying coldly, "Fine. You have a nice day sir." I am standing there with my kids in disbelief. As I walk to my car, mind you in the opposite direction of where the salesman is striding away as fast as he can, I said, "Tell your manager this is a bad sales strategy. I'm ready to buy a car here."
As I'm doing this a group of at least three other sales people have stepped outside and heard this and an elderly man in a yellow dress shirt shouts at me "Come back when you're ready to buy a car, not joyride all day." I replied, "I'll go buy somewhere else, thanks." He went STILL further, saying, "Why don't you just get off our property." "Done." I said, and loaded my kids up and left.
Listen, I truly understand they're short staffed on Sunday, and I understand that hanging around a guy test driving cars in their fleet on a 100 degree day when he's not going to buy that day, and they're not guaranteed a commission is not necessarily what they want to do, but my God...to be so openly screw-you-and-your-children disrespectful is beyond appropriate. The fact of the matter is we - and you reading this - are allowed the right to comparison shop. And the fact of the matter was they were my FIRST CHOICE OF BRAND TO BUY. I would have gone elsewhere, but I've researched my tail off before starting this test drive business and THESE WERE THE CARS I WANTED.
Well, as you can expect, I'm not getting my car there. Maybe you shouldn't either.
My children and I continued on to other dealerships, with me having to answer many questions about why those guys were so mean to us.
Thanks, Jack Key, for a memorable and unbelievably *negative* experience.
