My Review of Jerry's Dodge:
I've found the service dept at Jerry's Dodge to be about as un-helpful as anywhere I've ever experienced. We have had a cronic problem with the power steering on our 2001 Grand Caravan (Power steering fails at low speed, ususally immediately after start-up). Since they have been "unable to duplicate the problem" while the car is at the dealership, they insist there is nothing wrong, and nothing they can do about it. Having worked as a mechanic at a dealership, I understand the difficulty this type of problem poses for a service dept, but I also know that there is clearly something wrong. I've also given them suggestions for what I believe could be the cause, which they seemed to resent, and were completly unwilling to investigate. They also refused to believe that the power door switch was bad until they could see it fail for themselves (took two trips to the service dept) and insist that the clunking in the front end is "normal wear and tear on the sway bar links and bushing" (after 30,000 miles). And of course, when I asked if thier mechanic could show me exactly which parts were worn and making the noise, I was told, "um, no, not today bring it back later." Bottom line is I gave them three shots, now I'll drive the extra 20 miles to try out a different dealer.
