My Review Of Jersey City Ford Lincoln Mercury:
My 2011 Mustang GT was having a serious issue stalling if it was driven above 20 mph or idled for longer than 15 minutes (from a cold start). It was brought to Jersey City Ford after having been looked at by a Ford service center in Manhattan and remotely by the great tuning specialists at Bama Performance. Manhattan Ford told me it was a tuning problem with the computer, Bama Performance (shout to Ryan) couldn't find anything wrong with the tune so I had roadside service pick up the car and take it into the shop again. After having some initial problems with the first service center in The Bronx (City World Ford) refusing to accept the car b/c its arrival wasn't announced, it made its way over to Jersey City Ford and I couldn't have been happier.
To be really really honest Jersey City Ford and the people over there made me happy that I bought Ford. I have only had the car for a little over four months and I was mega pissed that I was having trouble with it already but everyone from the service administrator Aleece (pardon me if I mispelled it) to the mechanics went above and beyond to make sure that my problem was solved and that I was well taken care of. Even Angela, one of the regional Ford people for NY/NJ, was super helpful in providing oversight, keeping me updated, straightening out any hiccups with roadside assistance and getting my car to where it needed to be while ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Rocco, the mechanic, patiently explained to me the possible causes of my issue and maintenance that I could do to avoid any similar problems in the future. Ralph and Sean, the service managers, kept in touch with me and updated me regularly and promptly to the point where I was ultimately happy that the first service center had refused to take my car.
Jersey City Ford is on point and not only would I highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their car but should I need any service in the future, I now prefer to have my car taken back there even if roadside assistance will charge me extra. I live in the Bronx, work in midtown Manhattan, and JC is right across the river - not too far away and worth the trip to avoid the typical dealership/service center tactics. I have both experienced and seen many service center nightmares. I have driven and dealt with customer service for a Toyota, a Benz and now Ford and because of my experience at JCF, Ford is comin' out on top. I don't know exactly what but someone is doing something right over there, the people there are not just knowledgeable, patient, and courteous, but they take a pride in doing what they do which you don't see in too many places as they are typically money hungry and cutthroat.
Thank you everyone at JCF, you guys are greatly appreciated. Thank you Angela from Ford Regional, wherever you are. Much love to the tow truck guys at 727 Towing (I believe it was Bruce and George) for holdin' me down while I was late for work.
