My Review of John Chandler Ford Inc:
am 25 years old and recently decided to buy a vehicle for my family. I am a single mother of 2 a five year old and 6 month old.This was going to be the first vehicle I ever purchased in my life. I do the very best I can for my family and one thing I did want to do was get a better more dependable vehicle for transportation. I chose John Chandler because I thought I was getting an amazing deal on a 2006 RED Saturn for 6300 with tt&l. So I live 2 hours away and drove one day to see this car. Drove it and decided ok I'll take it! I love it. It suited me. The only thing visibly wrong with this car to me was a scratch on the fender that would have fixed when I got home. It was virtually perfect. I was sooo happy.
Well when I came home I made my appointment with the body shop and 3 days later I took it. When He got the paint skew from the trunk it came back BLACK....what Black. The title and paperwork said red. Hmmm thats kinda suspicious. Well the body guy then investigated the car a little more thoroughly. He pointed out many flaws. NUMBER 1- The car definetly was black. Not red. On top of that there was paint peeling from underneather ever fenderwell and every door jam. Little flakes. The "people" who painted the car did a very poor job! They didnt tape off all the window seals and rubbers around the car very good at all. So he began to point out that everywhere there was red paint on these rubbers and seal it would eventually peel and since it was conected to the metal body of the car it would begin to peel from it as well. He pointed out my front bumber under the hood had already had significant peeling. He showed me where it was peeling from red back to black. Not only had the "people" painted the car they didnt sand or prime before painting! So he said in a few months if not soon I would have a red and black Saturn. MY HEART WAS BROKEN!!
These people saw me coming.
When I called IMMEDIATLY to resolve my problem. They put me off all day long. I called and called and finally after being treated horribly over the phone by MATT the "final salesperson" someone called me back that evening at 6pm! I was told to bring the car in the next day to have their body shop guys look at it. What? There body shop guys? Even more suspicious! Does this mean they can buy vehicles at auctions that have been wrecked maybe even totalled , THAT HAVENT BEEN REPORTED TO ANY AGENCIES, is that why they can GARUNTEE CLEAR TITLES? Hmmmm...;.
again I wondered? Ok so I took the car the next morning 2 hours away. I ficked paint off in front of body guys and the sales manager. They wanted me to come back so I could show the sales manager in an hour. I said OK...well one hour turned into 2 finally at 1:30 I met the manager. He simply stated that someone had painted the car horribly but wouldnt take responisibity. We agree that I would look for another vehicle on his lot for the same value. All he had to offer me were these hideous FORD FOCUSES and TAURESES! Not only were they older with more miles (some had less) But some were goin to cost me more money! Are you kidding me. I refuse to drive something like that. Why would I want to go from a Saturn ION to a taurus or a focus NO!!
So I decided to get my money back and go somewhere else. OH NO THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION!!
THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY 6300 DOLLARS BACK!! To a huge dealership like JOHN CHANDLER 6300 DOLLARS is nothing to them. It clearly was everything to me. It was all I had!! My hard earned saved up money Plus part of my income tax refund!
So the other option was a Hyundai Elantra 2005. Ok so I decided to drive it home and think about it. I was just so upset. Of course I didnt want to pay 3500 dollars to get the red car painted the right way. I didnt have it. I DONT HAVE IT!! I didnt want to drive a red and black ION!! And they didnt offer to have it painted right or to even give me my money back. I am so mad. So I felt obligated. I dont have money for a lawyer to fix this problem. T Paul General Manager guy kept threatening that he would have no problem in court explaining that I was given a good deal on the car. Of course without telling me that it had been painted!! Thats exactly what I thought I was getting a great deal! No the price had been lowered because through the inspection of the vehicle by their people someone noticed the bad paint and lowered the price. So they decietfully tricked me!!
Again the next morning I drove back to Amarillo, 2 hours away! And decided to just settle!! They had already gotten all my money and I had to borrow money from my dad! What else could I do I felt hopelss! I felt betrayed and tricked. I had been conned!!
I had to settle. I was so betrayed by these [violative content deleted]. Not only would they not hardly budge at all. I had to take more money away from my family! I had to pay 8162.00 for a car that I would have never dreamed of buying ever! And my budget from the beggining was 6300 to
