My Review of John Elway Honda:
We went to this dealership to trade our relatively new SUV (2004 w/ only 5100 miles, and in Excellent condition) for a less expensive car in an effort to reduce our monthly payments. This was explained in great detail to our salesperson.<br><br>We had found a car that suited our needs but when they appraised our SUV, they came back with a number over $2000 below blue book for a vehicle in its condition. We showed them the listed KBB trade value and they responded by saying that they utilize the NADA system for appraisals (which apparently gives lower values according to the salesperson). According to them, our 2004, 6-month old SUV was worth $10K less than what we paid for it. We understand the concept of depreciation and dealer profit but this seemed a bit extreme.<br><br>We asked the salesperson if they could re-evaluate the appraisal. He was gone for no more than 30 seconds before he returned and said that the appraisal was final. In addition, our payments for a 5 yr old used Honda with over 48K miles would be substantially more than our 2004 SUV (we had some negative equity but not enough to warrant that type of payment).<br><br>To add insult to injury, we researched the NADA listing for our vehicle on our own and found that it supported the KBB trade value that we had presented to the salesperson.<br><br>Our experience with this dealership has shown us that they are blatantly dishonest and lack basic integrity. If you are looking for a fair deal... DO NOT go to John Elway Honda.
