We had purchased a vehicle six months ago from Kocourek Chevrolet. It did not meet our expectations and was not large enough for our family. We returned to Kocourek in regards to a trade in for a larger used vehicle. We were offered a low trade in value, and they would not negotiate. We were dismissed easily without any questions or offers. No way to go back in time six months, but if we could we wouldn't have purchased a car from them.

It all started when I went in to Kocourek's with my mom and dad to see about purchasing a new Camaro. I went in with the intention of ordering one straight from the assembly plant. I sat down with a salesman and he initially told me that they hadn't sold any of these cars to anyone under the age of 50(I was 19 at the time). He asked me what color and what options I wanted on the car. I told him that I wanted Imperial Blue Metallic for the color and told him what else I wanted and he entered it into his computer and searched to see if any cars from nearby dealerships matched what I wanted. There where none. So he looked at the similar ones. Now, the price of these cars range from $33,000 to $45,000 and the one that I wanted with my options came out to around $41,000. If I am going to spend that much money on a car, I want it to be exactly the way I want it. No different color and no missing options. So I told him that I was interested in ordering one. He told me no one does that anymore these days because they have this new system where they can trade cars with other dealerships to get one that matches my options. So I asked him the price of what my options would be and he told me he would give me a call the next day and that he would keep searching for a car. so the next day rolls around and he calls. He told told me he found a car for me. He proceeded to name off a car and its options. It was missing half the stuff I wanted. I said no and asked the price once again. He told me he would give me a call the next day. This was right after the earthquake in Japan happened(May 2011). So he calls me the next day. He told me that he found a car for me, and names off two cars, one that was the same from the day before, and one that wasn't even in the color I wanted! I told him no thanks and that I really would prefer to order one. He then says ok, so what color would you like? I told him that I wanted Imperial Blue Metallic, and I know for a fact that he already knew this. He then says I'm sorry, but GM stopped taking orders for that color yesterday. What I got out of this? I believe he knew about this deadline and intentionally waited me out so I would be forced to buy one off the lot. So I went elsewhere.

We have done business with Kocourek previously for a used vehicle. The experience we had with them then is what brought us back again. Aaron is fantastic at his job and would bend over backwards if it meant keeping his customers happy. Toni is one of the finance managers and does an amazing job. We ended up paying a little more for our vehicle than we had hoped but Toni was able to search the market and find us a loan payment that we were comfortable with. Kocourek has made us a customer for life.

Our search for a new vehicle began with a test drive in the Chevy Cruze. Kim Haase made us feel welcome and was very informative, yet never came across as being pushy. When we came back for another test drive (this time the Chevy Equinox) we requested to talk to Kim and once again we were treated with respect and given plenty of time and assistance to make our final decision on our new Chevy Equinox! It was a BIG decision for us to make, but Kim was patient and very helpful. Also "thanks" to Marc Levy for all of his financial help to make our buying experience a complete pleasure.

We would definately recommend dealing with Kim Haase and the crew at Kocourek to our family and friends.

WOW! another awsome deal from Kocourek in Wausau, WI. My Husband and I would like to THANK Adam Krueger and Charlie Sann for helping us with another auto purchase. I had done some research for a new car for quite some time and had an idea of what I already wanted, so most would say I was an easy sell on my new Cruze. What I was not expecting was the first class treatment I received. Aaron went above and beyond to make sure I was well informed about my new car. Both my husband and I decided it was time to trade in the older vehicles. This place offered the best selection between all the locations. I had found something I liked on the internet, and email about it. The next day I had people searching for vehicles tha would fit my needs. I quickly found that everyone was willing to go out of their way to find me exactly what I wanted no matter how long that took. I specifically worked with Adam Krueger and Marc Levy the most. Both of these guys are FANTASTIC! They were personable and very friendly and I really enjoyed getting to know them. I was very comfortable that I was getting the best deal possible and appreciate all the work everyone did in the store to help us out! Adam Krueger was an absolute pleasure to work with as my salesman. He was polite, friendly and easy to talk to. Before I was sure about wanting any car on the lot, I knew I wanted to buy from Adam. The car I ended up purchasing was exceptionally clean and still felt new even though it was a 70k mile used car; this was a huge plus and what I was looking for. I did expect to receive the car with a full tank of gas, but it was half full. A minor detail, but it still was a minor tick against my expectations when spending so much. I have no doubt that had I asked about the full tank before driving away, Adam would have made it happen for me. He is passionate about his career and is sincere in his desire to have a happy customer. The Kocourek team is lucky to have him on board.

The financial aspect seemed rushed and I would have liked to have known the APR rate and monthly payment before I arrived for closing. Perhaps that is the way it is always done at Kocourek, but I didn't enjoy feeling like I was being surprised by the lengthy purchase agreement. The monthly payment for the amount financed did not match my amortization schedule I had with me on my phone during closing. I have 26 credits in college level math, including an economics class, and when I got home and worked the numbers out long hand I still ended up with the same payment as my phone app. I don't know if it was in Toni's job description to understand bank rate amortization, but I still feel uneasy about the discrepancy. With $12,627.17 financed at 2.99% for sixty months, I should have a monthly payment of $226.84, not $227.12. I understand this is a matter of $16.80, but I'm an engineer; it's my job to notice discrepancies.

In conclusion, my overall experience with this purchase was a good one. I would recommend this dealership to others. A response to this review might even increase my praise.
