My Review of Koeller Dodge of Naperville:
My 1992 Plymouth Laser started making grinding noises while I was driving on the expressway. I decided to pull off at the next exit and before I got off the exit ramp the car came to a violent stop. The wheels just locked up, and I couldn't even push it off the road. It ended up being the transfer case that locked up. It was a known problem, covered under recall (although they wouldn't replace it until it locked up!?!). So, I called the dealership and told them about the problem and that I believed it was covered under a recall. The person on the phone confirmed the problem was under recall, but refused to send a tow truck to get the vehicle.

I recently had a friend who had a wheel fall off of his Mitsubishi because of a problem covered under recall. Mitsu towed his car to their facility, fixed the wheel, and the body damage that resulted from the car hitting the ground.

I had the car towed to Dodge of Naperville. The next day I get a call that they refuse to work on the car because of a fuel leak. Upon questioning the tech says they detected the leak because it "smelled like gas". Any further investigation into the fuel leak would cost $160/hour. I said I'd look at it myself. That night I fired the car up while my b/f looked for leaks. As soon as the car turned over fuel sprayed everywhere. We replaced a $4 o-ring and it was fixed in 10min.

The next day they finally replaced the transfer case, and we picke the car up that night. 2 miles from the dealership the car locked up again. We called Dodge, and they again refused to tow it back. Upon inspection they found nothing wrong w/ the transfer case and said their transmission expert said it was the tranny. I just had the tranny rebuilt 6000 miles ago.! I towed the car back home and found the transfer case to be leaking when I got it back. They hadn't tightened the fill plug! I just got done taking the tranny apart and found no problems whatsoever. The transfer case looks brand new, so I'm sure they replaced it. I don't know what the problem is, but I'm very dissatisfied with the service I received from this "5 star" dealership.
