My Review of La Mar Hyundai:
Well, they used all the tricks in the book. Salesman and Asst. Sales Manager tag-teaming you, focusing on the monthly payments instead of the price of the vehicle, pretending they lost money on the deal ... they will just try to shortchange you in every way! But aside from all the usual tricks, they told me at least three blatant lies: that every new car has 169 miles on it, and I don't need ABS brakes because they don't contribute to safety. Worst of all, I specifically asked if a special APR was available instead of the rebate, they PRETENDED to look it up, and LIED by showing me some rates which were not the special APR offered by the manufacturer. Wow.<br><br>Also they tried to manipulate the manufacturer's survey and try to bribe you with promise of free car wash and gas, and even offered to fill the survey out for me! (Obviously pretty important to them.) Of course, I said no. I've since discovered that other dealers pull this trick, but it is one of the most sleazy, despicable things that dealers do.<br><br>The worst, however, is the nasty Sales Manager Javen Rasheed - when I complained about some of these things, he was rude, abusive, and even threatened me with legal action. Waving his finger in my face and practically spitting - the man is a menace. I stood my ground and said my piece, but it sure was unpleasant. Once you sign the contract, they already made their sale so they treat you like trash.<br><br>What can I say? Terrible consumer experience. A bunch of corrupt jerks. I really feel taken advantage of. They give car salesmen a bad name - any honest car salesman who is treated with doubt and suspicion should blame guys like these. Having bought another car recently at South Bay BMW (which happens to be very highly rated on this site right now) I know what it feels like to have a good car-buying experience. And this wasn't it.<br><br>La Mar Hyundai was the opposite of good, in every way. (They do have a nice, clean dealership though. But that's about it.)
