My Review of Lakeview Auto Sales:
Brought my 2007 E350 in for service.
Car had a whirring noise in the front wheel.
I told them that I suspected that it was a wheel bearing.
They told me that since I have the 18" sport rims, they are all bent from driving over pot holes and, that is why I have the noise.
They quoted me like 300.00 per rim for the fix, which I declined.
When I picked up the car, since I didn't go ahead with the work, they charged me 175.00 for "diagnosis".
I told them that I thought that this should be covered under warranty, and they told me that it considered "road hazard"
I also told them that there are many people on the internet that have the same complaint that I do concerning the wheels...they basically told me "too bad, it's not our fault".
I have never had a car where all 4 wheels were bent.
I live on long island, 55 years old....not like I beat the crap out of the car.
I took the car to an independent shop and had the wheels fixed.....I had the same noise!
About 6 weeks later, the noise got very bad and I went back to the dealer.
This time, they told me that it was a wheel bearing, the same thing that I told them it was when I first brought the car in.
They told me that they will fix it under warranty and I told them that I wanted my 175.00 back because they misdiagnosed the problem 6 weeks ago....they told me they couldn't do it.

I have had other small issues with them as well.
The woman that makes the loaner appointments is nasty as well.

My car is now coming ready to be turned in and, believe me, I won't be going back to Lakeview to get the next one.

My Review of Lakeview Auto Sales:
I was recommended to Lakeview by a local mechanic, a satisfied long-time customer of theirs, and I was not dissapointed. The salesman was courteous and worked out an excellent deal for me. Any time I have had occasion to contact him since the sale, he has either answered immediately if on the permises, or called back as soon as he arrived for the day. If I had one complaint, it is that he was a bit sloppy with the registration paperwork which caused me to make an extra visit to the dealership. However, everyone is human and mistakes occasionally get made.

My "1k-3k first service" was handled competantly, the service advisor was very helpful and the service was performed in the estimated amount of time. The waiting area was comfortable and well appointed (quiet, plenty of comfortable seating, TV, magazines, coffee, bagels).

My Review of Lakeview Auto Sales:
I had a great experience at Lakeview Auto Sales. While many other upscale car dealerships turn their nose up at younger buyers, Rick at Lakeview was more than happy to help me. Even before he knew I was truly interested, he treated me like any other possible sale. While he pointed out the finer points of owning a Mercedes, I felt no pressure at all to purchase a car. I can honestly say, the treatment I recieved their was undoubtedly the reason I bought a Mercedes. I will be more than happy to purchase my next car from Lakeview Auto Sales!
