My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:
Did not honor internet price and did not care. Know that they have mistakes with prices and say it happens.

My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:
In response to Mr. Ellegard's post:

First, I am not one of those "can't please 'em, damned-if-you-do damned-if-you-don't" kind of customers like he would like to portray by his statement:
"The only people venting are the upset ones. I will sell over 7,000 vehicles this year. While we strive to have 7,000 happy customers invariably we will fail some people."

In actuality, we ended up purchasing a Corolla from Camelback Toyota. Even though we were looking for a YARIS. Oh, they tried all the tricks too. But, once they knew that we had all the tricks down, they cut the crap right away. They ended up giving us a much better deal on a Corolla and we took it! In addition, I left them a pretty good review.

Mr. Ellegard is right in one respect, though. The people that have posted here are ones that have had pretty tough experiences at his shop. He must realize that if he has staff that play games with his customers, he will indeed fail them. And, they in turn, will post negative comments and feedback about his shop on sites such as this and others like it.

Hopefully those "steps" that he mentioned that he is taking will reduce all the B.S. that his customers will have to put up with when they walk through his door. In my case, even when I complained to management at the time, nothing was said or done to make it right. With that said, I will stick with my positive experience at Camelback Toyota and return to them when it's time to upgrade my vehicle.

In closing, Mr. Elegard as a General Manager of Larry Miller Toyota you already know you have one shot to make a first impression with each and every customer. You have made it a negative one with the posters here, me included. I truly hope you are sincere about enhancing service and correcting the problems that were experienced. Otherwise, this list of negative posts will grow and so will your reputation.

My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:

My name is John Ellegard and I am the General Manager of Larry Miller Toyota. I am sorry for the experiences that the three of you had at my dealership. We truly strive to provide the best customer service possible to each and every customer. Regarding the Yaris incident, I can assure you that under no circumstances will we ever intentionally bring someone into the dealership to show them a car they do not want. It is not what I believe in and I will never do that to my customers or potential customers. People are too busy for that kind of garbage. I try and provide a customer experience that I would be able to sit through. Are we perfect, no. Are we getting better, yes. It is my goal to get the transaction time for a vehicle purchase to under 2 hours. We are taking several steps as I write this to accomplish this. I apaoligize for the experience the three of you had here. You now have my name and I will be more than glad to here from you or anyone else that has had a bad expereince at Larry Miller Toyota.

As you can see I didn;t try to skew the scoring by giving my delaership all 5's. I markerd N/A for all questions. But as you can also see the other Valley Toyota Dealers all have very bad scores. The only people venting are the upset ones. I will sell over 7,000 vehicles this year. While we strive to have 7,000 happy customers invariably we will fail some people. While I am not happy that the three of you had bad experiences here it in no way reflects the experience of the vast majority of our customers. In closing I would like to reiterate my offer for the three of you or for any other customer to please contact me with any bad experience. I do not screen my calls. I look forward to hearing from any and all of you on this forum and thank you in advance for the privilege of trying to serve your vehicle needs.

Sincerely,
John R. Ellegard

My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:
Was looking to buy a 4-Door Yaris sedan, and just like everyone else, was working deals with Fleet over the Internet. Larry Miller gave a great price right away (should've known at this point!). We went to Larry Miller all the way from CHANDLER ( a very far drive, for those who aren't familiar with the area). When we got there, we started wheeling and dealing. We then came out to the lot to look at the car and he brought us to a Liftback Yaris!!! His excuse? "Oh, I thought we were dealing with a 3-door and not a 4-door." This is despite the fact that all emails and papers passed back and forth had "4-DOOR" written all over them.

Left as quickly as we could.

My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:
We went to Larry Miller Toyota because of a letter we got in the mail from them this month. We wanted a Tacoma and ended up with a Nissan instead. We really like the truck but after we purchased the truck for $14,750.00 plus taxes we went home happy about our purchase. The following morning I decided to go one the Internet to see what that truck was selling for else where to see if we did get a good deal. This is what I found "The same truck we had just purchased with the same Vin# was advertised by Larry Miller Toyota for $12,995.00 needless to say we were very unhappy. We contacted them and they through a bunch of numbers in our face and basically did nothing. So we filed a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General /Consumer information and complaints office. Waiting to see if they well do anything. I worked in the retail business for years ans we always had to honor the advertised price.

My Review of Larry Miller Toyota:
I should have been warned when the dealership had only one silver Toyota Forerunner in the model in stock. How could you only have one of these considering the Forerunner is such a popular vehicle and sliver is a common color. Every other dealer in Phoenix had multiple versions of this car. To make matters worse, this one model they had was a demo model. I found all of this to be rather annoying but to top this, THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE CAR ON THE LOT. One of the dealers was driving it over the weekend. Pathetic.

I'm a fair person so I was willing to negotiate a price on the car assuming the car was in fair condition and had less than a 2000 miles on the car which the dealer agreed to. The dealer wouldn't specify on the amount of miles on the car. He said it had only been driven for "3 weeks" although it had been on the lot for 6 months. So I asked the obvious question: "Isn't it fair to assume the car would have less than 2000 miles since it had only been driven for 3 weeks?" Again, he would neither confirm or deny this.

When the car was presented the next day, it had close to 3000 miles on it and it looked like it was in terrible condition. Most dealers offer a significant rebate for demo models such as offerring a 1000 dollars less than the quoted price. My dealer was not willing to do this but merely extend the warranty. Yeah right, I was so disgusted by the condition of the car and the amount of miles that I left the dealership and didn't even bother haggling with the dealer inside.

I would not recommend a dealership that resorts to these tactics. I'm a physician so I'm very anal and detail oriented by nature. I'm a very informed buyer and so you know that I did my research when searching dealers. I have reviewed Bell Toyota and Tempe Toyota. I highly recommend going through the internet fleet sales department. Easiest way to contact them is to go through cars.com or yahoo autos. Yahoo and cars will e-mail the internet fleet dept. at each dealership and they will contact you. Make sure you don't give them your real number when filling out your information on these sites because the dealer will call you as soon as you fill that out.
