My Review of Len Stoler Nissan:
I called to inquire about a replacement battery for my key. The service rep required an appointment, claimed my key was going to need programming and was quoting an approximate cost of $95.00 plus the cost of the battery. He said the work schedule looked light that day and he could fit me in between 10 - 2:00. I explained it was on my was to work and I wanted to stop by in the a.m. He couldn't accommodate that, so I suggested I run over at lunch time. He responded that the techs ALL go to lunch between 12-1:00 so I had to come between 10-12 or 1-2:30. I asked how late there were open but he said they take the last appointment at 2:30; so on the way home was not an option either! If you are looking for convenience or customer service, cross this dealership off of your list! I inquired why the $95.00 for programming as I noted my owner manual had steps for doing it yourself. Because they cautioned you regarding the internal wiring, I felt I would just get help. Once he decided I wasn't the "dumb female" and actually read my manual, he explained that I could try it myself and went quickly through the steps for resetting the programming but said if that doesn't work you will need us to program for $95.00.
Now I called Liberty Nissan in Hanover, PA as I live in northern Westminster, which isn't far from Hanover. Here is how it went:
Do I need an appointment to get a battery replaced in my key? No, just stop by and we can help you in about 2 minutes. What is the cost? About $3.00 for the battery. Are there any other charges involved like programming? No, just for the battery!
Where am I going for service? Liberty Nissan in Hanover, PA....and so should you!
In fairness to the dealership, I tried to call to speak to a manager to share this story twice but was transferred from the receptionist and the phone just rang and rang...I just didn't have time to keep calling back.
