I brought my 2009 F150 with the 5. 4L engine in for a cam phaser job. My previous shop had been sold to some corporate behemoth and when I brought my truck there, they simply hooked up 4L engine in for a cam phaser job. My previous shop had been sold to some corporate behemoth and when I brought my truck there, they simply hooked up the truck to their code reader program and told me I needed a new engine and they made things like an associated radiator and brake fluid flush and seem like a herculean addition to the new engine. They apparently weren't aware that there are at least 3 websites dedicated to Ford trucks and 2 of them deal specifically with the F150. There are dozens and dozens of threads on the cam phaser issue with the 5.4L engine. I knew what need fixed and what parts would be required before I went in there. I knew that I didn't need a new engine. They need to get on the internet more often. When I bought my truck to Mike Maroone, Ronson Hagan took the lead on the repairs and came back with an estimate and a parts list that I recognized immediately as being exactly what I needed. My truck is back and it is running like the day I bought it with 53K miles. It now has 203K miles and I think I am going to enjoy it for many more years. I now have a new shop that I will be using exclusively. Kudos to everyone at Maroone, especially Ronson. More
