My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

Just wanted to say it was a pleasure purchusing my Aston Martin from Roman and Ricky the gm. The car was in amazing condition came all the way from St. Louis and got picked up from the airport and had nothing but a good experence with them. They didnt have the owners manual but they got it for me in a week. Its really hard to find good people that keep there word on stuff. They got awesome cars and good prices there was a reason I came all the way up there.

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

I stopped in at Lucky to see their inventory and was very impressed. Iv purchased tons of vehicles in the past and I would have to admit Lucky was one of the best experiences. I purchased a 2010 MB S550. The salesman I dealt with was Mike. He was very intelligent when it came it all of the cars and options. The process was very simple and actually quite fun. I wish they would have negotiated a little more but it was still a very fair price. All in all I'm very happy with my car and the deal I got. I will be buying from Lucky Motors again.

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

Bought a car here about a month ago. I am an out of state customer so mostly everything was done via email or by phone. First off, the sales person I dealt with (Andy), was pain stakingly slow in responding to my emails and calls. I had to call and email to find out exactly where we were in the process. Since when is it a customers`s job to call after the salesman?? I did forget tho that he was very prompt in calling me to ask for the down payment on the car tho.

Also asked Andy to tell me exactly where any scrapes were on the car. He forgot to mention that there were two big scrapes (including a hole that they did a pathetic job in trying to touch up with paint) on the rear bumper. I also asked him to include the owners manual with the car....well guess what, no owners manual when I got the car. Both car keys batteries were flat also....

Very unprofessional salesman.

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

This was a deal that went bad and continued to worse. It was my idea to swap my 1947 Buick Super convertible with them for a 1960 Buick Lesabre convertible. It was a good idea, I had tired of the older car, my wife couldn't drive it ... Had it too long. It was your basic 20 footer, but mechanically sound, I drove it everywhere. The car I swapped for a 1960 Buick Lesabre looked sharp , good looking pictures. I live outside Toronto, Canada so I wasn't going to Chicago to view this car... I should have. I decided to go through with the deal, but you know that dealing with Lucky Motors doesn't mean a lucky transaction. The car was shipped via their transportation company, the fool driving the rig smashed into a steel pole backing up and caused $7,500.00 damage. This isn't the problem. When I did the deal, the usual salesmen talk was on the online and eBay pages.... New roof, new paint, new interior, no rust, everything works ... You get the idea. Absolutely none of this was true... I'm bad.. Stupid. I went to see the vehicle in Detroit Michigan ... They were holding it there for insurance claim. I spoke to Lucky Motors and asked if they knew the difference between new roof, paint, rust and working vehicle . They said they sold cars "as is" . I wasn't sure how bad the car was as I was only visiting the car without aid of mechanic, body man... Experts. I brought the car to Canada after another hassle that just adds to the adventure. I asked Lucky Motors to help me bring the car to the level they stated it was in I didn't want to absorb the entire cost.. I took them to the toothless Better Business Bureau... They are a member.. Guess who's side they took. They said the 1947 Buick was a hunk of crap... They are currently trying to get $37,000 for it,I guess it isn't that bad. So the car has cost me outside of the insurance money another ...ouch .. $20,000 . I may still sue,or take them to Illinois fraud commission. Lesson learned.... It wasn't all Lucky Motors fault, they are fraudsters and I was ignorant.

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

I had a horrible experience with this dealership! They sold me a 2009 Land Rover and claimed everything mechanical was in working order with no issues. I took the vehicle to a local Range Rover dealership and they found over $5,000 in problems ranging from bad breaks, old in need of repair belts, pull arm problems, and non-working rear wipers, plus a couple of other minor problems. I was not about to take the vehicle back to have them repair this vehicle given their quality oversights. I shared with them the report and they were unwilling to work with me to even acknowledge they sold me a vehicle with these problems. Please look out with buying from this dealership. They are out to sell you a high end car and have low quality standards. I would avoid at all costs!!!!

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

Like the others here I was taken as well. I purchased a Mini Cooper S in April of 2012. I was promised a new radio and owners manual and so far no such luck. The radio is broken and has never worked.

However, this is the least of my problems, exactly 90 days after purchasing the car my engine ceased up. I was driving with my two young children on the highway about an hour from home. Needless to say, the dealership took no responsibility. The Mini dealership couldn't fix it either because it was no under warranty. Thousands of dollars later, the motor on my car and several other parts under the hood have been fixed and it is running.

The Mini dealership told me that it also has the wrong type of tires on it and that the brakes are metal to metal. I found an ID badge from the previous owner under the driver seat who lives in FL where the car came from. Contacted her only to find out that the car had water damage due to a storm, they knew this information but sold me the car anyway.

I still call and eMail this dealership about the radio and owner's manual but they won't return my calls/eMails. Do not go here!!!

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

Overall, it is a way better car buying experience here than I expected. If you do not believe me, see if you can look up the other review I wrote half a year ago at Honda City, Chicago. Mike is the employee that sold me Z4, who is very polite and plays the good guy. The manager denied me on my offer on the first day. But I had fun going back and forth at this dealership, although the long drive was not that fun.
They had very many luxury used cars, although the website information were all that accurate, but you get to see the car in person eventually. Make sure ask to see the MSRP sticker to have a rough idea what came factory installed. . Fidelity Motor Groups had the cheaper, no NAVI versions, non-white ones, which I never wanted to go back to after first visit, the sales floor was very pushy, and kept on ignoring what I was saying. I mean I was already ignoring what they were saying, if they are going to ignore me too, the negotiation quickly turned into the manager and my dad's broken english demonstration.
I had my eyes on the white Z4 for so long, and really I would have bought it at the listed price (Mike you are right, the navigation panel have to rise up, otherwise something just doesnt seem right with that car, I officially agree with you). It took so long because I was really really busy with absolutely no time to go to Chicago everyday. In fact, the three times I went are the only three time periods I was not supposed to work. But, previous experience, had me prejudiced against car salesmans. Guys, remember, be happy shopping for cars, it is stressful but you are the one spending to buy a luxury car, and you should be happy. Every trade has their own way to generate revenue, dealers have to sustain their own livelihood, too. There is really no need to make sure they are not making any money or they are selling "BELOW" what they paid for. I liked mike and the manager, giving me the usual drill, but not that pushy, unlike the manager at Fidelity trying to shake my hand every 5 seconds.
The car qualities are really gonna depend on everybody's luck. Some cars are perfect. Some cars are inherently wrong. Both get sold I am sure. Make sure YOU PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS BEING TALKED ABOUT AND HOW THE CAR REALLY IS. To me, it is more of the customer's responsiblity to check the car out instead of hearing from anyone. Because there is really a chance that the dealer misunderstood the specs, or price, and was confused too, not intentionally being deceitful, you cant prove, and you will never know, just like how much money they made on the Z4. :-)
BUT I am happy, because I drive a Z4 and the process of buying it did not make me want to swear.
:-)
And, mike, the reason, you are not getting the cigarettes, is because the car stalls on red light on sport mode and AC full on, almost every time, I do not think you know that selling it to me. But I was very angry in that week. Until I researched online and found out the Technical Service Bulletin number to give to the service advisor that refused to take the car the first time it was brought it, because I could not reproduce the problem. But now software is updated and the car runs fine, I am happy again, but you are not getting cigarettes.

My Review Of Lucky Motors Inc.:

If I could give Lucky Motors 0 stars, I would. My wife and I bought a pre-owned 2008 BMW X3 from Lucky Motors in May of 2012. Everything went fine through the test drive and negotiations and I thought we were getting a pretty good deal on the vehicle. One of the main reasons we bought it was because the dealership told us the X3 still had 4 months or 6,000 miles of factory warranty left. That also includes BMW's no-cost maintenance which covers everything from oil changes to windshield wipers within that time period. We were very happy and purchased the X3 for less money than we could have gotten a certified pre-owned vehicle from a BMW dealership.

Unfortunately, they either lied to us about the factory warranty or just didn't check thoroughly. I took the car to our local BMW dealership for a scheduled oil change less than a month later and I was informed that the factory warranty had expired more than 5 months ago. I told them I would wait on the oil change and I would contact Lucky Motors to get it resolved. In the mean time we had a belt snap and we had to replace a belt and a hydraulic tensioner (not cheap on a BMW). When we finally heard back from Lucky Motors they informed us that they would not pay for any of the maintenance and would not help in any way. They claimed to have done nothing wrong but couldn't explain to me why they sold a car with an expired warranty when they claimed it still had 4 months left.

After contacting the BBB they still refused to fix the problem and we have been going back and forth with the BBB and Lucky Motors for over a month now. Terrible dealership with terrible values. Do not purchase a vehicle here no matter how good the price seems.
