Dear GM,I called the service dept. this morning Monday Dear GM, I called the service dept. this morning Monday May 24th and asked if I needed an appointment to have my new license plates put on. The resp Dear GM, I called the service dept. this morning Monday May 24th and asked if I needed an appointment to have my new license plates put on. The response was a friendly no appointment needed just stop in. I arrived mid morning and Parker assisted me but could not remove one of the bolts so he called over a manager ( male, upper age with beard, glasses). The manager said “ Parker isn’t able to remove the bolt on one side so I will need to go to service, they have to remove the bumper, it will be $169.00.” I said “. $169.00 sounds very unreasonable to me.” Manager said “ my guys won’t like me if I tell them to work for free”I said I’m not doing that”. Manager said “O.K.” Then he walked away. I then went to Bloomington Hyundai. I did not tell the service technician my experience. The technician at Bloomington had my old plates removed and new plates on in SECONDS! Less than one minute! It has been a very long time since I’ve received such bad service. I will be purchasing my new vehicle from the Bloomington store in the future. Signed, A very unhappy customer More
