Ever since it has been in the shop. The sunroof would not close completely although Mabrey said it would not be a problem. Still broken but after 2 hours labor, it has been closed manually so at least the interior won’t be ruined. The engine mounting bracket and sway bar links were faulty and had to be replaced. Brake pads, non existent, so they had to be replaced along with the rotors resurfaced. Oil had not been changed and was running black as coal and the transmission fluid was just as bad. She is hoping that having the transmission serviced will fix the shimmy that is happening and that it is not a more serious problem. Did I mention that the emission light and check light came on the next day. I think it is criminal to take advantage of anyone but especially a young person by purposely misleading her into making a huge mistake that she will continue to pay for a long time I’m afraid. Customer Service: 1 Quality of Work: 1 Friendliness: 1 Overall Experience: 1 Pricing: 3 Overall Score: 1.4 My Review Of Mabrey Smith Motor Co: Upon arriving, on 1/3/10, the salesman was on the cell phone and didn't acknowledge my greeting. I proceeded to look at a couple of cars on the lot and patiently waited for the salesman to finish his call and approach. He answered a few of my questions regarding a Nissan Sentra: mileage, interior, automatic, does the radio work (he replied that he never checks out the radio), until I asked to see the trunk. We never even discussed the price! I stated I was looking for a reliable car for my college daughter. He became rude, stating he'd been in business for 37 years and stated "I can tell this car is not for you...you are driving a wrecked van and you want a new car. I am not going to waste my time, you are not my kind of customer!" and he walked off. Too bad... as a college educated Magnu Cum Laude graduate of the University of Arizona, local public school teacher in good standing, I could have and would have sent him other customers, if he'd only been a better salesman....and we were prepared to pay cash!
