My Review of Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep :
This is the worst experience I've had with a dealership. I will never come here again and tell everyone about it. less than 2 weeks after I drove off the lot my check engine light came on due to an emissions error. When I called the dealership they basically told me I was out of luck because I didn't buy an extended warranty and it wasn't a lemon because it didn't have anything to do with the engine or transmission. I mean come on!! I haven't even made my first payment yet. If I'm buying a $20K vechicle I would like it to work. Do NOT go to this dealership they are sly, rude and will do anything to make a $, even at the expense of a good customer.

My Review of Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep :
My husband and I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership, but we will NEVER return again.

We got a great deal on our 2005 minivan. However, as another reviewer mentioned, we were there over 6 hours to get a good deal and a reasonable trade-in offer on the Dodge vehicle we were trading in.
Only 6 months after purchase, there were moaning noises in the front end/steering. On each of several visits to the service department, they said they couldn't hear anything though the noise was still there each time I left. With less than 20,000 miles on the van, the front tires had to be replaced due to excessive wear which was also very uneven. With under 30,000 miles, at an oil change visit, they strongly recommended I get over $400 of work done. We decided to trade it in on a Toyota.
Our 7 year old Dodge pickup recently overheated. We took it to the service department as it was close to our home. They said the heads had been warped and that along with replacing the radiator, etc. would cost $5000-$6000 (more than the blue book value of the pickup). When we pointed out the truck's value, they *generously* offered to give us a $2000 trade-in on a new truck. They charged us $100 to give us this assessment (and didn't tell us this in advance). The next day, another mechanic quoted us under $500 to replace radiator and other minor things and said nothing was wrong with the heads!
The service department was condescending to us and was disrespectful and extremely dishonest. I can only assume the entire dealership is run in this manner.

Employee(s) Dealt With: Michael Kinney, Anne Fox

My Review of Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep :
Typical sales visit, so-so sales girl. We selected two vehicles we liked and asked her to see what kind of deal she could give us on both. On had a good bit of damage to the bumper during shipping, but was a newer vehicle. We certainly expected some type of discount for the damage, although it would be as good as new when fixed. The other was last year's model, so we thought maybe a rebate, cash back, etc. After a 30 minute wait she came back with a piece of scrap paper with the full sticker price of each vehicle divided into monthly payments, written in a black magic marker. This was her best offer.

We finally got straight to the manager, Michael Kinney, after several back and forth "let me see" visits. We settled on a car and a price, then they took a look at my car (trade in) . During this, the only soda/water machine was broken, the filtered water machine from the water fountain had flooded and instead of cleaning it up they had put paper towels over it and a (black magic marker again) note saying it wasn't a drain. Meanwhile, someone purchased a vehicle from the showroom floor so they drove five vehicles indoors with only one door open. Later during negotions, they rearranged the remaining four vehicles again, with the exhaust from one only a few feet away from me.

(An interesting note is that the setup in this dealership is that the sales person is inside a cubicle, but the customer is in the open showroom. You are easily distracted by your surroundings while the sales person is isolated and more able to concentrate. )

The fumes made me sick. I later vomited, and told my husband we needed to go home. We were still waiting to see what they were going to offer for my car. We were the last customers at the dealership, and all the big dogs were in Kinney's office while he put the numbers in the computer. My husband went to tell them we would have to come back because I wasn't feeling well, and Kinney's response was, "It's been seven hours, can I have five more minutes?". He then went back a couple of minutes later and told him we were leaving because the exhaust had made me sick, and Kinney threw the paper down and said, "If you gotta go, you've gotta go". I was furious and went to the door. They were all laughing as I got there but stopped when they saw me. I got the paperwork and saw that they had offered me half of the blue book trade in value of my car. Of course we left without any intention of returning.

I emailed the general manager but never heard from him. I went next door to the Chevrolet place, Don Hewlett Cheverolet and got $5000 more for my car. (They had hot pizza and coolers of soda, and bottled water with their logo on it. The sale people had actual offices that you both sat in so that you could negotiate without distractions. Much better setup)

I would never, ever go back to that dealership. I can't believe they have a five star rating. I believe it is because Dodge uses the rating system based on customers that actually purchase a vehicle, not those that get so annoyed or disappointed by the service that they leave without closing the deal.
