My Review of Malloy Lincoln-Mercury Mitsubishi:
This dealer is potentially sitting on a gold mine but may not realize it. They are the only luxury car dealer in the Woodbridge area (don't consider Acura luxury yet). I purchased a 2000 Lincoln LS with a 48,000 mile/4 year Ford additional warranty. The sticker on window indicated 144 pre conditioned checks. Once I took possession of the car, I discovered over 20 items wrong with the car including extremely obvious problems like broken dipstick (couldn't even check the oil level), muliple light bulbs out, A/C not working, balance and alignment problems, etc. In short, I took the car back at least 4 times in 4 months to fix problems that would have been discovered if the car had been conditioned/inspected before sale.<br><br>I nearly hired two attorneys to file claims for fraud and Uniform Commercial Code violations when Mary, the service rep., refused to honor the warranty on the last visit. Fortunately, Mr. Malloy (owner) and Mr. Smith (service manager) honored all requests including broken tie rods (the car had to be towed to the dealer), and they even paid for some items I would normally pay for. Bottom line, the dealership did the honorable thing in the end and I am now enjoying the car. To prevent these problems in the future, the dealer needs a fail safe basic quality inspection program for all previously owned cars it sells.
