My Review of Manchester VW:
I had a great experience with the purchase of my 2008 Jetta. The sales experience was good (mostly dealt with the Manager Jim S). They had the exact Jetta I was looking for (after another VW dealer told me there were none to be found in black with the package I wanted). They were not pushy and the trade value was $1,200 more than the other dealer. This is what I woulkd expect from a dealer they know who is important the CUSTOMER. Thank you Manchester VW.

My Review of Manchester VW:
My wife and I visited the dealership on Presidents Day looking to lease a car for her and buy one for myself. Our sales person was Jimmy. Nice guy, friendly, he just started working there for a few months. My wife took a 2007 VW Jetta Package 1 for a test drive, she liked it and we decided to lease it. Everything was fine until they start doing the paperwork. They were much unorganized, including Allen, Jimmy’s manager and the finance person. My wife had to go back 4 times to resign the paper work, plus when they scheduled her for inspection, Jimmy forgot to make the appointment with the service department and she wasted her time driving to dealership for nothing. They did not give my wife the complete paperwork, they forgot the blue form that you need to register the car, so my wife wasted more time going to town hall and try to register the car. We never leased a car before and we had no idea that you need the same blue form like when you buy a car. Anyway this is not all. They did not paid of my wife’s old car and it’s been almost 3 weeks, it’s ridiculous. I’m so glad that they did not have in stock a black VW Jetta. I left $1,000 deposit and I give them a week to look for a black VW Jetta Package 1 but they were unable to find one. They refunded me the deposit after I had to call them 3 times. So in the following weekend I bought a VW Jetta for myself from VW Seacoast dealership. Took them just 3 days to pay off my old car and the whole paperwork process was so easy, done in 1 day. Overall the experience that we had at VW Manchester dealership was very bad. Looked like they don’t value customers time and don’t follow-up. We had to call them so many times to get them to do their job. I would definitely not recommend to anyone this dealership. I’m currently waiting for the general manager Bruce Sellers to call me back so I can tell him how bad was our experience and to find out why they did not paid off my wife’s car. We’ll see if they really care.

My Review of Manchester VW:
I am fairly certain that under warranty they replaced my transmission so they could charge back VW corporate. After the transmission was replaced the Golf TDI had lackluster acceleration. That transmission failed and it was replaced again.

A few weeks ago, I brought the Golf in for service due to rattling. I thought it was something with the exhaust. I brought it in for diagnosis and they said the catalytic converter needed replacing for $945!

What was rattling was something in the trunk. After I took the item out the rattling ceased. I never did the repair and my car still works great.

Be careful of any high cost repairs. They may be unwarranted.

My Review of Manchester VW:
Bought my brand new car there last year. Shouldnt have bought it there after the sales manager yelled at me over the phone over a $300 difference in price. I liked the sales person, who isnt there anymore, so i bought it from him.

The service dept. has been fine until Kathy left for another job. The most recent issue is still pending. I have a rental car until they fix the problem on my car correctly. It has been in their service dept. for over a week for a minor repair.

THE PARTS DEPT. ALSO OVER CHARGES!!! A quart of synthetic oil at this dealership costs 8.25, its only 6.25 at almost every other dealer in New England. After they give me my car back they will never see me again.

I will give them this much, though. Pretty much everyone I have talked to has been professional and courteous. Too bad they are not capable of doing the job right the first time. or the second time. or the third.....you get the point.

My Review of Manchester VW:
Car was in for simple repair. After paying too much for the repair (and a rental car since they don't do loaner vehicles unless you complain to the right people there) I find the repair was not done correctly and needs to be redone. The service attitude was "bummer. bring it back in. We don't have a car for you to get to work in - but you can rent another one". Thanks for nothing! The last 2 times I brought my car there they were unable to even put the correct oil in it, even though the VW manual and myself specifically stated SYNTHETIC oil was needed. One they fix this, I won't be back with ANY sales or service issue. They are pathetic!
