My Review of McGrath City Honda\Huyndai:
I noticed one of the windshield wipers on my 95 Honda Accord was sticking just after I signed on the dotted line. I figured that they wouldn’t have anything to do with me since I already paid for it, but they handled it no sweat. They know it’s about leaving a lasting impression of great customer service. I told them I’d write them a nice review about it online so here I am.

I was shopping for a used Honda Accord for my daughter but my husband warned me not to go to a dealership or they’d take advantage of me. I went to McGrath anyway and spoke with a salesman about an accord on the lot. The deal and warranty sounded too good to be true so I brought my husband the next day who verified that everything appeared to be honest. It was a good experience and it’s so rare to find a dealership that you can trust.

I used McGrath Honda/Hyundai to fix a proble with my igniton. They called me back the next day with a diagnosis of the problem an estimate and a time when it would be fixed and asked if I’d like them to proceed. The estimate was high but i decided to go ahead and have them fix it. They didn’t fix it exactly when they said they would, but did call me that day to tell me what the status was and when they expect to finish. The next day they called me again and said it was ready. So good service, did what they said they were going to do and kept me updated with the status of the car.

I went to McGrath Honda and Hyundai in Chicago and test drove an Acura. The salesman, Carl, was quick to inform me about all the pros and cons about the car. He didn’t sugarcoat anything and even told me about problems that I wouldn’t have even noticed myself - like how the wheels weren’t lining up exactly straight. It really surprised me.

I ended up not buying a car here, but I still feel like these are people who will honestly tell you what you are getting.

I purchased my accord from this dealership. You should be a moron to buy a car from this dealership after you’ve read this message board. They promise too many things and deliver none. Once the sale is complete, they would not want to talk to you anymore. The car they sold me had worn out brakes, missing floor mats and torn seats. They said the service center was closed for day, asked me to complete the deal. I paid the Sticker price, coz I liked the car. Called back on Monday, and they said I have to make an appointment and I could get one after a month. I missed to appointment due to an emergency, and called back to reschedule, and they tell me that they will not fix the car, and said I should have gotten it fixed before the sale.

You will find shady managers and sales people here... do not go

Dealer promised a price on the phone, then increased it when I travelled 4 hrs to his dealership. Said it was a mistake on the phone.
Next dealer did not disclose the vehicle I was buying as a prior rental lease vehicle. Ralph Correa as he calls himself printed out pages 1,4 thru 10 of carfax report and left out pages 2 and 3 which stated that this was a prior rental vehicle. Unfortunately I found this out after I purchased the vehicle and returned home. He made the deal and disappeared home. I didnot even get the second set of keys for the vehicle nor a full tank of gas as promised. He will not return my calls anymore. Do not got to this dealership. They r the biggest scam artists you can find in chicago.
