My Review of Mel Clayton Ford:
I had spent thousands of dollars over several years having vehicles repaired at Mel Clayton Ford in PHX, and was in need of a small pick up truck to help a friend move. I was told it had been cleared for sale by a mechanic when it had not.
Two of the tires were dangerously shredded and I replaced them at my cost.
I was promised an alarm, which was never installed.
The AC did not function. The truck was left there for three days, at the end of which the salesman advised me the used car lot manager had said since I had bought it off the lot, "fuck me".
So, I put up a web site on these unscrupulous and sleazy dealers:

Google these clowns. Everyone has trouble with them.

Dear Sirs,<br><br>I took my 1999 Mustang Cobra to Mel Clayton Ford on 05-07-2004. When my car was returned to me the service department had put 50 miles on my car and used 1/4 tank of gas. I called the service director Jim Harkness on Monday 05/10/2004, he promised he would investigate and call me on 05/11/2004. I have not heard from him and am very upset my car was basically stolen for a joyride by the very service people I trusted. Also I was quoted a price, based on that quoted price I allowed the suggested service. When I arrived to pay my bill it was almost $100.00 over what I was quoted.<br><br>Catherine E. Bennett

My Review of Mel Clayton Ford:
During my time with Mr. Gerdes, over the phone and interaction on the internet, he has been the consummate professional, trying to resolve all my concerns and work the best transaction that would fit my circumstances. Any dealership that can motivate good people such as this gentleman will never have to look far for a solid customer base. My only regret is that my finance options are on hold or I would have purchased the Lincoln Blackwood in a heartbeat. I will still try to be a customer soon. My best to Mr. Gerdes for a job well done...Robert Lomprey

My Review of Mel Clayton Ford:
We were led to believe in an internet price of $26,999 which included rebates when we got to the dealer. Then lo and behold the price is increased by another $1400 because the internet guy made a mistake.......and quoted us wrong???...We intended to pay cash and my husband was talked into financing it to get an additional $1000 rebate. That additional rebate was calculated into the price quoted. We have AAA credit and they charged us over 8% when all other places would charge 3 1/2 to 5 tops. Then to top it off we get a letter from Ford Motor Credit that the dealer made a mistake in the rate and it was less.......WORST EXPERience in my life......and they could care less....offered nothing .....apparently not interested in customer loyalty.
