My Review Of Mercedes-Benz of Tampa:
In my forty plus four years I have never had a salesman such as Mr. Arbrams. While looking at the SMART Passion Fortwo Convertible on the lot, Mr. Abrams greeted me warmly and asked if I was familiar with the Fortwo. For the next 1 1/2 hours he showed me every feature and secrets that the Fortwo held. Just when I thought I knew all there was to know - there was more. For instance; heated seats. Not needed in Florida right? Wrong - heat is very theraputical for sore muscles and is very useful for an aching back from driving on a trip. Not one time during the 1 1/2 did I feel pressure or silly for asking questions. Mr. Abrams had an honest ease about him that I truly appreciated.
Mr. Abrams picked up on my hesistancy and asked an imporatant quesiton. What would make you love it? I was only considering a convertible because that is just the way I roll. The convertible I was looking at was Black and I wanted a Metallic Blue. SMART doesn't make many Fortwo convertibles and a call from the sales manager indicated there were none to be found. Not so great news right - again, Mr. Abrams went above and beyond by asking the sales manager to switch the Black Panels out with a Metallic Blue coupe that they had just received in. It was a long shot, and nothing that has been done before but I was told for me, it could be done for an extra $250. Then I was informed I qualified for zero percent financing! "It's yours Rachelle, what time would you like to pick it up on Saturday?"
Saturday, I was once again greeted warmly and taken through the process. Adam in financing was patient with my questions, and number checking. He knew I was a little unsure of purchasing a relatively new vehicle in the US and would servicing be available in 7 years. Adam answered all my questions and reaffirmed that I was now part of the Mercedes family and would be taken care of. The paper work process was long and a little tedious, but I was glad that I had Adam on the side of the desk.
Then it was time for the delivery of my car. Get keys and leave right? Again, no -- Mr. Abrams deserves the Salesman of the year award for what he did next. I had purchased vinyl daisy detail stickers for my car. I asked if he could help me put them on as the car was in the covered airconditioned pick up area. Mr. Abrams had never done this before, and was a little hesistant but he wanted me to be happy and applied the strip on the bumper. It looked awesome! Mr. Abrams did not stop there. He applied detailing on the door and hood! It looks so professional and I was so proud when other sales personnel came to see his handywork!
I left with my 2013 Metalic Blue daisy detailed convertible and felt like I was in the ride of my life. I'm a serious person by nature, but smiled and jumped for joy. At the stop lights I received "cool car lady" and "that has got to be the cutest car I have seen in my life".
This experience is the best car buying experience ever, and it is thanks to Mike Abrams and the entire team at Mercedes Benz of Tampa on Dale Mabry. While I may have purchased a "Baby Benz", I am proud to now be in the Mercedes family.
