My Review of Millennium Volkswagon:
Very unfriendly service. Service dept was working on my Jetta, replaced the turbo after a week of waiting, few days later car brakes down again, whoever was working on it didn't do a great job and one of the turbo hoses popped off. Since they didn't make any money working on my car because it's still under warranty service dept tried to tell me that I need to have my intake cleaned from carbon deposits, this would cost me about $1100. I should mention that they didn't say anything about the intake when my car was worked on the first time (few days earlier). I did some research and the carbon deposits in the intake due to a faulty turbo. This should have been cleaned first time they worked on my car and it should be covered under warranty. The Service dept manager tried telling me that this is maintenance and everyone gets this done between 20,000 and 40,000 miles. Who is he kidding...so let me gets this straight, everyone who buys brand new VW has to pay $1100 after a year or two of driving!! If that's the case no one would buy a VW. I called VW customer care, hopefully they will get this resolved. DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE AT MILLENIUM VOLKSWAGEN IN SOMERVILLE NJ!

My Review of Millennium Volkswagon:
First off, I do not like reading these blurbs because I feel like the people who write them are generally irritable people with nothing better to do with their time than be nit-picky about businesses. However, I did have a rather bad experience with this company and would advise others to stay away if they are thinking about taking their car there to be serviced. I had my 40,000 mile service at this place and when I picked it up I noticed that my AC was making a clicking sound. I had other appointments to attend to that day so I had to drive off and ended up calling them later on to schedule a time to come back in. No one was available to help me and the call center could not put me in for an appointment any earlier than in 3 days (I was moving across the country in 4). I called Monday morning when they opened and I was given the same story that they still could not see me until the day before I moved. Not only that, but they were unwilling to believe that it was their workers who may have caused the problem (my AC worked fine before). I spoke to the Manager of the store and he wouldn't help either as far as seeing me ASAP, nor would he extend the courtesy of having the courtesy shuttle drive an extra 5 miles out of range so that I could get to work while they looked at my car. He also wouldn't/couldn't believe the problem was due to something one of their employees caused and told me it was pure coincidence that my AC was broken when I drove off their lot. I called to place a complaint at the corporate offices and they called to let Millenium VW know of my dissatisfaction of their customer service. I was called back, twice, and told that I was no longer welcome at their shop. I ended up being able to take my car to another service place where I was told the problem WAS due to employee negligence. It seems that when they replaced my air filter, debris and dried up leaved fell out of it and no one bothered to take the time to clean it up. These dried up leaves and debris ended up in my vents which caused the clicking sound. 4 days of agrravation of not knowing if it would be able to be fixed before I drove across country, 4 days of me being told that it could not be a problem due to their workmanship, 4 days of being told that I was not a valued customer and that it was my own problem to deal with and not theirs, 4 days of stress that I did not need to have; and not once has someone called back (after I informed them that the problem was due to the work they did on my car) and apologized. I will NEVER do business with this company again, nor would I recommend someone else do the same.

My Review of Millennium Volkswagon:
I bought a new 2000 vw jetta...and before it reached 9K miles, I had to bring it in for SOOOOO Many services to replace parts. To the point where they knew me by my first name and the ppl in the services dept. were concerned they gave the contacts to VW America. I seriously think I have a lemon..but I deeply regret not doing anything about it. The following are the lists of problems I had to face and/or facing: I had to get a new transmission (got stuck in first gear) new brake lights, new temperature gauge, new pipe that runs into the transmission (there was a "slash" in that one") new head gasket, new passenger windows (it went down one day and never went up, the plastic motor blew), need to replace my catalytic converter and now there sending out sooo many recalls (brake light won't go off even in the park position) and I am soo fed up with this car! I am in the process of selling it, so that I can get a more reliable car. I do not recommend ANYONE to buy anything from VW or AUDI. And its not like I treated my car like garbage, I babied it and took very good care of it. They use plastic parts instead of metal pieces and its made in MEXICO....what can one expect...

NOT TO MENTION: IT takes WEEKS to schedule an appointment. AND it gets better, when my car had to come in for servicing, I had a HUGE scratch on my rear bumper...I KNOW it wasn't there when the tow truck released my car, it happened at the dealership, so they agreed to repainy my rear bumper. If I didn't have the warranty, I would've spent an arm and a leg!

My Review of Millennium Volkswagon:
I had a terrible experience with Millenium VW. I traded in my leased Gulf for a new Jetta. A year after the purchase, I was notified that I owed them $1100 dollars. The charge came out of nowhere as far as I could tell... It was never mentioned when we made the trade-in deal. It was made up of a bunch of fees relating to my Gulf's lease. Which, as I said, was long gone. It was the first I had heard of the charges because of a clerical error (they had my address wrong). Anyway, because it had been a year I was already in collections. At every turn they were rude and even somewhat threatening. I was treated like very poorly by Millenium. When I called for assistance with the problem they were rude. The guy I spoke to wouldn't give the name of a supervisor. He wouldn't even help me understand where the charges came from. Basically, it was pay what we demand or have your credit tainted by this. I feel like they extorted money from me. I ended up paying. It was the worst car purchase experience of my life. This jetta is the last VW I will own.
