My Review of Momentum BMW:
Brought my 2004 M3 in for 1200 mile service (basically an oil change,) alignment, and BMW Assist module (the car is pre wired) installation. I receieved a letter from BMW NA about the TCU module; SA has never heard of this before....Figured it would take a day...it ended up being three and a half. No good explanation offered.

Picked the car up, found the "Quality Control" sheet verifying all work, but curiously the car still pulled to the right. Called the SA to tell him that I still had a problem, he said bring it by to have a shop foreman drive it. Done. Shop foreman concludes that I have bad front tires, which is not unheard of. SA says he will give me a call as soon as they get the 19" tires in.

Later that week, get the call, and make arrangements to drop car off the next Monday. I figure it will take the morning to mount/balance two tires. Wrong. They are not in stock. Won't be at the dealership until Wednesday.

Wednesday arrives, I call in the afternoon and am told that the tires are in, but due to a long line at the alignment rack (they wanted to recheck it) it won't be until the next morning.

Thursday...get the call. They ordered the wrong tires (Pilot Sport PS2's vs Pilot Sport.) Not going to receive correct tires till Monday or Tuesday.

Tuesday...get the call. They have the tires, but the mounting/balancing machine just broke. Imagine that! "Hope to have someone out to fix it this afternoon."

Wednesday...get the call. They actually NEVER ORDERED THE FREAKING TIRES. As of 4/7/04, the tires should be in next monday.

They will not break 2 tires off of a new M3 on the lot. SA tells me they only have 1 on the lot with 19" tires, and sales will not allow it. I seem to recall seeing 4 the last time I was there.

2 WEEKS TO REPLACE 2 TIRES. I could have ordered them from the Tire Rack and gotten this taken care of long ago. Of the 6 weeks I have owned the car, I anticipate they will have had it for almost 3 of them.

Absolutely the worst dealership experience I have ever had.

EDIT: Actually had someone pm me, defending Daniel and how it was the Parts department fault, and that if I didn't return, I would just be freeing up appointment time for him...tried responding but always got http: 404's.

Where did I attack Daniel in my post? He's a nice guy, he just works for a crappy dealership. This is DEALERRATER.COM, not SA-RATER.COM. Beyond that, how many times is Daniel going to let Parts SCREW HIM OVER? I am now on my 5th promise date.

After almost 3 weeks I'm just supposed to say "Oh well, must be the Parts department screwing me over....*sigh* ?" Yea right.

The tires didn't make it in Monday 4/12, nor 4/13. They got there late 4/14. Daniel says I should be able to pick the car up mid day 4/15.

That would be a total of almost 21 days to change the oil, change diff and tranny fluid, perform 2 alignments, install a pre-wired peice of electronics, and replace 2 tires.

Sorry Daniel, your dealership sucks.

My Review of Momentum BMW:
They should have ngative numbers on the scale so I can selectt them. I go to Momentum because it was my first bmw and I didn't know, but I told myself I will never buy another car from them. I had to deal with Daniel McFadden, I hated it, he is so arrogant with the I am better than anyone attitude. Later on I just deal with Shafe. I was there a few weeks ago, they transferred Daniel McFadden to the Katy dealership. Shafe is nicer, but the quality of their work is bad, the last two problems I have on my car, they will just change something on the first visit but does not solve the problem, so I have to go back again on both occasion. I think their motto is "we'll get it fix...on your second visit..."

My Review of Momentum BMW:
Went in to have squeaky brakes, slightly hazy headlamp cover and thump from the drivetrain when car was put into gear (5speed) looked at on a 01 330i. Also requested alarm activation (self installed OEM alarm) and key programing to unlock all doors at once. Was quoted $50 on the phone for alarm activation/key programing. Upon service day, I asked them how much it would cost and Mcfadden said, "$75". After insisting I was quoted $50 on the phone by another service rep, he reluctantly agreed. Long story short, they said that the squeaky brakes, headlamp haze and driveline thump were "normal" and that everything checked out (differential, brake system, gaskets, etc) I would expect a bit more from a $40K car! Well since everything "was within specs" I basically had no leverage to argue, so I walked away with the same problems, wasted 3 hours and paid $50 for a 10minute (max) alarm activation job. Well after an hour I had to return to Momentum because they forgot to program my key to central unlock! What a bunch of pan handling clowns!

My Review of Momentum BMW:
Daniel McFadden is an A-hole. He makes trouble for you in the name of bureacracy.

My BMW original accessory Nakamichi CD changer was stuck, I scheduled an appointment (3 week wait list for loaner) and when I got there, Daniel McFadden said there was notheing he could do...because I bought the changer and had it installed from another dealer (because they were out of stock and on backorder). That is rediculous!!! The changer is an original BMW part purchased through BMW and installed by a BMW dealer.

On another occasion, I took my car in for warranty service with a loan car appointment (again a 3 week wait)...I forgot my Driver's liscence at my office...Daniel McFadden would not allow me to take a loaner although they had my liscence information on file at the dealership...he made me reschedule the entire appointment for 3 more weeks later!

If he wanted to help Daniel McFadden could have...he is just not a helpful person. Save yourself the aggrevation and do NEVER schedule your service w/ him. Instead schedule with Chef Habib, he is a really great guy.

My Review of Momentum BMW:
Service after the sale sucks! My experience with Momentum BMW after purchasing my 1999 528i was "Hey, this joker just paid a lot of money for his car, so nickle and dime him to death on the service end." Service and parts are always more expensive at Momentum than any other Houston BMW dealer. Guess it is to pay of the multi-million dollar facility with test track in back. I've honestly given Momentum a 1 for each of the 4 survey responses because they can each be answered with the word arrogance - which is in the air once you set foot on the sales or service floor.

I guess it was my lack of experience when purchasing my first BMW that I remember walking into Momentum and having to hunt for a sales person. The one that I ended up working with was really nice but the service after the sale is the last bad taste that sticks.

My Review of Momentum BMW:
Made only one visit here to look at used cars. After taking in the opulent trappings, I'd already decided I wasn't going to help them pay for the decor. The sales rep took me out (what? I don't know how to safely exit the dealer's lot??) for a test drive..... and immediately nailed the throttle all the way to redline on a cold engine as we entered the feeder road! "Why did you do that?", I asked. "Because customers like to feel the power of these cars!" Huh uh, not on a cold engine. Thanks very much, but I'll buy my cars from people who know how to treat a car properly. Am completely satisfied with Advantage.

My Review of Momentum BMW:
I got in fender-bender that damaged the front and rear of my car. I took it to momentum's Body shop. Jim was fantastic, he handled the insurance adjuster for me to ensure the proper work was done. The car came out better than any body shop work I've ever seen. They had to paint everything but the doors, so it wasn't an easy job, either. The color, metallic flake, and orange peel are dead-on matches to the original paint. Couldn't have asked for better work or a more pleasant experice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys!

My Review of Momentum BMW:
I have mixed feelings about these guys. I've dealt with various sales reps in the past and get the feeling that they don't take time to correctly identify a problem, rather they just say what they think it is and expect that you'll agree to pay them to do the repair. Once I was in there for some work and they said my engine is leaking oil (which it is albeit a very very small amount). They said it was from the front main seal. The next time I was in there for some work they said my engine was leaking oil. This time they said it was from the rear main seal. At that point I asked "If you say it's leaking from the rear and you find out that it's actually from the front, do I get my money back for the rear work?". Of course the answer was "No, we'll uh....credit your account for work we do on the front..uh but that won't happen because we know it's leaking from the rear." Yeah right.

Also, one time I had the car in for work and picked it up (it was raining) and when I got home I noticed that the car looked like it had been washed and dried with a brillo pad. I took it back in and Junior Uresti (more on him later) said take it to whomever I normally use to detail it and send the bill to them. So I did and they paid it without hesitation. Therefore, the one bright spot in my dealings with Momentum is Junior Uresti who has dealt with me on the level on several occasions. So I will give credit where credit is due. Thanks Junior.

My Review of Momentum BMW:
Momentum scratched my car while in service on the rear bumper. I even brought my car in washed prior to service to show them that I cared about my car. When I told them about the scratch they were very rude and the service manager got on the phone to yell at me and make condescending remarks to me. The service advisors are very stuck up and unfriendly. This is all after purchasing multiple cars from them. I now go to Advantage and I am very well taken care of. I will never recommend Momentum or send them any business again!
