My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
I am a current BMW owner and was referred to Alexander BMW by several previous customers. I placed an order with Daniel Fox on 12/19/08 for a new 2009 BMW X5 4.8 with a specific configuration. One week prior to the car arriving, Daniel attempted to change the price (higher, of course!) and I became frustrated. I considered cancelling the car and wrote an email to that effect. The original price was restored by Daniel and the car was to have arrived on or around 2/12/09. Around the same time, I requested via email the VIN (for insurance), my financing options, how the car would be delivered/picked up and whether I had any options for trade in of my current BMW. I have no response to these emails or notice from Alexander BMW of where the car is! I’ve lost excitement about this car and may simply be naïve to think a high end auto should not be such an effort to purchase. Regardless, if the car I ordered was sold to someone else without contacting me, I asked Alexander kindly to confirm so I might post/share my experience with Alexander BMW for others to consider. If they did not sell the car to someone else then I do not understand the objective with Alexander BMW, but it reflects poorly on their franchise. Either way, I think myself and the people who referred me remain unimpressed.

I sent this same email to Alexander BMW two days ago, and after no response from even the President of Alexander BMW, decided to post my experience. What a let down from my previous experience purchasing my current BMW at a different dealership.

I cannot imagine sending anyone whose time I respected there for a new car - amazed that others had a positive experience...must be a considerable difference between sales people.

My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
I purchased a CPO vehicle '06 BMW 550i. Originally came to test drive a 530, but it just didn't have the right feel for me. Shahin then showed us the 550i which handled beautifully. I wished then that I had done some research on the vehicle, but it was not that much more than the 530. The negotiations went smoothly, even tho' there was some push back on taking the price down an add'l $1000. Shahin came back finally and said we got our price. We also wanted to take advantage of the 0.9% financing. That, too ended up being a breeze. Robert Lee was our finance guy and went over the documents in detail. When I asked to re-calculate some figures, he was patient enough to do so. This dealership is 50 miles from my residence, but the staff there made it worth my drive.

My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
I went in to trade in my 2005 330Ci convertible for a new 3 series sedan, i had just purchased 330 in 08/05 for 50,000 (not includ tax and lic). ED offered me 28K for good to excellent condition car. I asked him how is it possible to offer me a price 22K lower than what i had paid just 18 months prior? He told me I didn't do my 'homework', i should have known there was a new model coming out in '07. 'It is customary to offer blue book back 6 thousand' 'why should i buy your car for more when i can go to wholesale and get it for 28K' He still claimed as we walked out that BMWs have highest resale value, 'just not yours'. AVOID Alexander Imports, especially ED. His mouth spewed out cheesy one liners the entire 60 minutes we were there.

Very professional dealership.
Been taking my car their for service for 4 years now, and because of the good customer service just bought a new vehicle there as well (M6).

Well worth the drive.

Kudos to the sales, service and management team.

My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
I bought a CPO BMW (Z4 2.5) through the internet from Robert Lee. He was a pleasure to deal with. The price I got was a steal and the service was first class. I flew down from San Francisco to LAX. He picked me at the airport to the dealership. My new CPO Z4 was on the showroom floor detailed and all gased up for me to drive back home (6 hrs to SF). The paperwork was all ready for me to go and the finance manager (Brad) had me in and out in 10 minutes. I strongly suggest you contact this dealership and Robert Lee. Great selection of BMW's. Nick really can't say NO!

My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
Service advisor (Fred) was knowledgeable and professional. I was there twice:

1) Install alarm & front license plate holder. SA was nice and gave me a loan car because he believe the work can't be finished by the day. Very happy with the experience.

HOWEVER, got home and found the front bumper dented when the technican install the license plate holder. Also chipped the left side mirror housing. Extremely unhappy with the work as the technician should have just be honest and fix it instead of me have to find out myself.

Anyway, I called the customer service department at Nick and they promised to fixed it for me free.

2nd visit: brought car in for repair at the front bumper, and side mirror. Got a loan car and both were fixed but still slightly noticeable, well at least it is not noticeable to common eyes. Went home, found a thin film of paint all across the windshield and left side window. Complaint to the customer service again, didn't even call back... Had to go to a detail shop to clean off the paint.

What a crappy dealership!!! Go at your own risk.
My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
After doing my research for many weeks prior to my visit I KNEW I wanted either a new BMW 325i or pre-owned 330i.

Carsdirect.com arranged for me to test drive one of these vehicles at Nick Alexander's. I scheduled my test drive for a friday after work.
When I arrived the internet liason had no idea about my arrival. ...

(I believe that a portion of the profit goes to carsdirect.com if I they refer me. so of course the sales reps would rather attend non-referals. but anyway)

after being bounced around for a while the manager decided to treat me as a new customer. He set me up with a sales rep, George(?).

Well, this guy didn't take me seriously from the start. He thought I had no intention of buying the car, or at least treated me as such. I mentioned to him how I was a recent college graduate (only 22) and landed a badass job... George rushed me in order to get me out and make it to a baseball game he had plans for. I test drove a new titanium-color 325i, which was a huge dissapointment. The car drove nicely, but maybe if I had a longer stretch of land I would have been sold... the test drive consisted of a drive around the block. *sigh*

A few days after this experience I went to McKenna BMW and bought myself a 2001 330i with only 20K miles. I don't recommend McKenna to highly, as they decieved me on many issues, but I am overall pleased with the car I purchased.

man, oh man. If only George would have treated me nicely, and not had discriminated I would have probably driven off with an '04 330i from his lot... oh well,

For those of you considering a 325i, I highly recommend the 330i. It costs a bit more but is more than worth the investment.
My experience at this dealership was wondeful!! The Sales Manger, Ruben, and his staff went Above and Beyond to make my buying experience a memorable one. I got a great deal on a 5-series that was incomparable to any other dealership I had been to. Anyone in the market for a BMW would be crazy not to buy from here.

My Review of Nick Alexander Imports:
In general, they charge more than the other BMW dealerships in the area. My radiator cracked and they quoted me close to twice the cost of another dealer. They were high on both parts and labor.

I went in for another problem and was told they would charge $200 just to diagnose the problem (the other dealerships quoted me $100) and the repair (identified by the other dealership) would cost $1,200 (the other dealership quoted me $500).

Unless your car is covered under warranty, avoid getting your car serviced here.
