My Review of Paragon Honda:
Do yourself a favor and please spread the words for people not to go to this dealership.
Last week one of my best friends bought a "certified honda pilot". Being his financial advisor, and knowing that he has a FICO of almost 800, I know that he could get a preferred rate. First the business manager Alan Gensler, tried very sneaky to include the extended warranty without explaining it to my friend. All he kept saying was that that was the final payment (warranty included), but since I had already calculated the pmt, I've told my friend to show him why they were getting a higher number. I actually made my way to the dealer after listening (I was on the other side of the cellphone) to the business manager saying, "You don't need your friend, I am giving you a great deal" (again, he never mentioned that he was including the extended warranty in the pmts). When I arrived, armed with my HP-17B (Financial calculator), I immediately told the salesman to take off the warranty and to show the pmt without. But that was not even the worst.
Next day my friend realized that the tires did not match, they did not give him the manuals, gas tank was empty, wiper blades worn, and missing keys. The salesman, Matt, was so stupid that when we confronted him with these issues he went on record to say that "the tires do not have to match" ???? is this guy for real??? We've told him to check item 61 of Honda pre-owned certification (all tires have to be OEM and have to match). By they way he would never return calls, we had to hunt him down.
My friend and I went yesterday to also confront the business manager Alan Gensler who is one of the rudest persons I've ever met in my life, to let him know why my friend did not get the 3.9apr offer that they had, instead he gave him 7.99%. He tried to give us any excuse that he did not know about it, even thought it was in the newspaper, in their site and in some flyers we brought, which by the way, the only requirement was that you had a FICO of over 750. Mr. Gensler running out of excuses then said that he did not give it to him because he did not buy the extended warranty!!! Was he kidding me!. I turned the tape recorder on my cell phone on because I wanted him to repeat that, but he noticed and I asked him again, "Mr. Gensler, does my friend has to buy the extended warranty in order to get the lower APR?" he changed his tune (again because I've told him I was recording our conversation). Not only was he so condescending, but obnoxious and extremely unprofessional. He literally asked us to leave his office. Can you believe that.
I only wished that I could have researched this dealership beforehand and found a site like this one. They also have one of the worst records in the BBB site.
AGAIN, if you know of anyone trying to buy a car from this dealer, please tell them to go somewhere else. They have not customer service manners and they try to deceit their customers
